becks agent has again and again confirming his client intention to stay only for 3 months in AC Milan and will be back to LA Galaxy for his new season. it's bad news actually. i do not think his chances of joining his England team mates will get bigger if he stays with LA Galaxy this year. capello made clear during interviews that he would have opted becks from his squad if he had not joined AC Milan. and if he wanted to play part in WC 2010, he had to join Milan on permanent basis without a doubt. i don't know what's running on his mind as he will not be able to lengthen his England career if he chose to be with the American team. that's what becks does. he never backs down on his words, not ever. when he was forced to wait for an extension, he stood his ground and played his parts until the end of season, and finally won the la liga title with Real Madrid. it's clear case for him and there won't be turning back unless he decides otherwise. the club wants him, the fans adores him and his team mate welcomes him more than ever. so, what are you waiting for?
the secret of happiness is not in doing what one likes, but in liking what one has to do

ancelotti on becks
while some people doubted over his capabilty to play football, he showed some toughness on the field. he kept his eyes on the ball was constantly involved throughout the match. if he keeps his performance steady to that level, he will certainly be picked by capello. although he will not be guaranted in the line up, he might have a chance to be in the team. here's a good article about his involvement in the match
David Beckham begins his bid to extend his England career with his competitive debut for AC Milan in Rome tonight.
But his widely anticipated cameo appearance from the substitutes' bench comes with a warning from Milan coach, Carlo Ancelotti, to put England out of his mind for now.
'David Beckham is not here to prepare for England,' said Ancelotti. 'He is here to play for AC Milan and he will have as much playing time as he shows himself to be capable of while he is with us.'
However, Beckham has impressed the Italian club so much already that they are considering ways to bring him back to Milan at a later date.
And those possibilities might help to turn Beckham's dream of playing in the 2010 World Cup finals into a reality.
England coach Fabio Capello will not pick Beckham for a record-breaking 109th cap against Spain on February 11 if he just plays 10 or 15 minutes each week.
Capello wants to see the midfielder play at least an hour on a regular basis if Beckham is to be sure of his place in the national team.
Half-an-hour of match time each week would leave Beckham's England future in the balance. But Ancelotti made it clear last night that Capello's needs are not his concern.
He said: 'If Fabio Capello wants information on Beckham then I will give him information. That's it.'
The AC Milan coach admitted he would be more than happy to have Beckham stay in Italy until the end of the season if the 33-year-old were to change his mind about returning to LA Galaxy on March 9.
'Sure I would,' he said enthusiastically, 'though I think his contract is clear and he is a serious person who intends to go back to Galaxy.
'But if the opposite were to happen, I would be delighted to keep him. I have trained a lot of players, but one as professional in their attitude as Beckham is hard to find.
'That's why the more I get to know him, the more annoyed I get about all the gossip that surrounds him. He is an excellent person. And the dressing room is a magical place because it strips away all the other stuff and leaves each player as just a normal person and part of the group.'
Despite speculation that Beckham plans to stay in Italy, AC Milan believe their best chance to secure the Englishman's services further would come in the summer or again next January.
Last night, the Italian club's organising director, Umberto Gandini, said: 'Any scenario other than Beckham going back to LA Galaxy in March would be for David and LA Galaxy to discuss.
The fact is that he is going back as things are.
'There might be a theoretical possibility that we would be able to take Beckham back in the summer transfer window of July and August, but that would involve David arranging his own release from his contract with LA Galaxy and would only happen if he was very sad to be leaving us in March.
'Otherwise, the only alternative would be to do exactly what we have done in 2009 and have David back in January 2010.'
Last night, Ancelotti was concerned only with ensuring that Beckham gives everything to Milan for the next two months - and he ruled out the idea that the icon might travel back to America to see his family sometimes between matches.
The coach said: 'David will have many commitments here with us and I don't think there will be enough time to travel to California. That is something he will have to resolve with his family.'
Last night, Victoria Beckham turned down VIP tickets for her husband's Milan debut in the Stadio Olimpico and took Beckham's boys - Brooklyn, nine, Romeo, six, and three-year-old Cruz - back to California instead.
A new school term starts in LA on Monday and AC Milan spokesman Vittorio Mentana said last night: 'There would have been no time for David to see his family after the match anyway, because we are flying back to Milan straight afterwards.'
That is why Beckham said goodbye to his children for at least a month when he visited the 4,000 euro-a-night suite Victoria had taken at Rome's Hotel De Russie on Friday afternoon.
He looked dejected afterwards. But now he must concentrate on football.
And that, says Ancelotti, means AC Milan and not England.Ancelotti stressed that the former England captain, who is on a three-month loan from the Los Angeles Galaxy, was 'ready to give an important contribution' to the Milan squad, and would be welcome to stay on after his loan expires.
maldini's view on becks
it's been 2 days since becks debut with Milan and i feel it was a good match for him. i was unaware, however when was the exact day Milan would play against Roma, luckily my brother found it when he was turned the tv on. i watched it from the first 10 minutes or so and was satisfied with how well becks played his first serie A match ever. one time he was even blocked a potential shot to become a goal from AS Roma. i guess it showed to all Milan's fans that he was there to play for Milan, not LA Galaxy. well, all haters you could see what he's worth for. i am going to post positive articles regarding becks first match and enjoy reading them all.
Maldini: Milan are stronger with Beckham
The captain believes Beckham's arrival has made the team even stronger...
Milan legend, Paolo Maldini has hailed David Beckham and stated his belief that the Rossoneri are stronger with the England star in their team as he looked ahead to tomorrow's match against Roma.
Maldini is in Rome with the rest of the squad as they prepare for Sunday's showdown game with the Giallorossi. Beckham may make his full Serie A debut against the Romans, and 'Il Capitano' insists Becks will give his side the extra edge.
"David has integrated well with everyone from the first day and it's all going positively. Milan are stronger with him around," Maldini told Il Corriere Dello Sport.
Becks has been training hard for his new side but reports suggest he could be doubtful for Sunday. Nevertheless, Maldini will be delighted if the midfielder gets the nod from coach Carlo Ancelotti.
"The coach will decide if he plays and I wouldn't be surprised if Beckham features against Roma," added Il Capitano. "David is working really well, but it's down to [Carlo] Ancelotti."
Beckham was out and about town on Friday as he had special permission to enjoy the day with his wife. He will be back with the rest of the squad today as they continue preparing for Roma.

becks good arm
as i browsed David Beckham's official website, i noticed there was this picture (not the one above) of him exposing his bare right arm. i was shocked seeing there was no single tattoo on it, except probably his old tattoos. i mean, no scary, odd looking tattoos covering his arms. well, that was a nice thing to see. i noticed his obsession for tattoos back when he was playing with Real Madrid. yes, there had been few tattoos engrossed on his body prior to his move to Real Madrid but nothing like his covered-whole-arms tattoos which was done few months before leaving Madrid. i was dumbfounded when i had the first look on newspaper. i thought it was some kind of bad printing, but they were real. i disliked the idea and totally against it. but tattoos are meant to last forever, so no turning back i guess. once it's there, nothing can wipe them off our skin, except of course if we want to do some kind of laser surgery or something, but it won't look nice on our skin. Angelina Jolie did it, and probably some other hollywood celebs before her, however i am sure they don't have 2 whole tattooed arms to be taken care of. i heard, his wife victoria was also enraged seeing him tattooed his upper arm although she had sent strong signals of not liking the idea. Becks didn't care that much though, as he has them printed on his body now. i won't be putiing his two tattooed arms in my current post because i hate them
pato is only thinking about scoring, but pleased playing with becks
Alexandre Pato has been the talk of the town as soon as he has arrived from his home country Brazil. blessed with such talent he is soon embarks on a journey with Italian club AC Milan. although he is only 19, he has been improving a lot and trying hard to impress Milan's coach Carlo Ancelotti. however, such a talent he is, it is still early for him to be guaranteed as a first choice striker. i've seen him play and to be honest he deserves to take time on the bench and learn from him seniors such as Sheva. i am not saying he's not worth it, but he's still young and play time is all he needs. if i were the coach. i would have partnered him with Ronnie up front, in the second half of course. i like his style of play but i am afraid he's a bit too predictable. perhaps he needs to improve on his technique and agility. someday, he will be a star in AC Milan.
i am miss seeing zidane playing football, he is such a legend no one can outdate him including lionel messi and ronaldo. oh and by the way, here's a comment of pato about his obsession with Milan
I THINK ONLY ABOUT SCORING GOALS- PATO
Milan starlet Alexandre Pato doesn't think much of the fact he is playing alongside superstars like David Beckham, Ronaldinho, and Kaká...
Alexandre Pato is confirming himself as one of the most talented young players around, having already scored six goals for Milan so far this season despite not being a guaranteed starter.
It's likely he will play in Sunday evening's match against Roma, which might also see David Beckham make his official debut for the Rossoneri.
"Beckham is great, not just on the pitch, but outside it as well," Pato told SkySport24. "For me it's a great pleasure to play with him, and train with him. I've been talking to him a lot, I'm happy to be his team mate. He can give a lot to Milan."
On his ambitions for the new year, the 19-year-old said: "I want to do more than last year. I'm happy about what I did last year, and now I'm sure I'll do even better.
"How it feels to play with champions like Kaká, Ronaldinho, and Beckham? I only think about going forward to score goals."
Asked whether he thinks Inter are much stronger than Milan, he said: "They are strong, but so are Milan. There are still a lot of matches to decide who will win the Scudetto.
"Roma-Milan? It will be a great match, Roma are a great team, their coach knows football well, he knows Milan. But Milan are strong and I'm sure they will play a great match."
The Rossoneri can't afford any slip-ups in the second part of the season if they want to compete for the Scudetto as they are currently nine points behind Serie A leaders Inter.
Danilo Pochini
becks could play against rival roma
his first match with AC Milan was not a true test, as it was merely a friendly match. his real match will be against roma next week. and as we have presumed earlier, he might have to start as a sub considering his 'mild' fitness due to lack of play time. there will be no regret though, as whether or not he plays, his team mates are welcoming him more than they were few weeks before his arrival. there were probably doubts over his capability and commitment to the club, however seeing him involved in the friendly game, he was quickly praised by ronaldinho. here's an excerpt from canadian press about performance and his chance of playing against roma.
DAVID BECKHAM PREPARING FOR AC MILAN DEBUT
ROME — David Beckham could make his Serie A debut for AC Milan in Sunday's match at AS Roma, although the former England captain may have to settle for a substitute's role.
Beckham began his three-month loan from the Los Angeles Galaxy by playing the first half of a friendly against Hamburg in Dubai on Tuesday.
"He's still not in form, but his contribution could be useful," Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti said. "He has dynamism, tactical intelligence and skill. He plays for the team and is always involved."
Against Hamburg, Beckham played in a largely defensive role in midfield and provided a steady performance before being replaced by Mathieu Flamini.
Teammates commended him for his unselfishness.
"You could see that he wants to play and win with us," said Ronaldinho. "Simplicity is his best weapon, and with desire you can accomplish a great deal. Milan is not a team of galacticos, it's a team with a lot of great players that know how to sacrifice themselves."
Beckham said that the game against Roma would be "very emotional for me, whether I play or not."
With midfielder Gennaro Gattuso out for six months following knee surgery, Beckham may have to adapt to a more defensive role ...

carlos on becks
becks has always been close with his ex real madrid teammate, roberto carlos. and this interview made it clear that the friendship is still going strong. i wish i could have said a lot more positive comment on it, unfortunately i am not in the mood of rambling about anyone else right now. so, here's the article (goal.com) and the link:
roberto carlo's proclaim milan's beckham as the best
The former Real Madrid team-mates got on well during their time at the Bernebeu, and the Brazilian has only compliments for the English free-kick specialist.
In an interview with UEFA Training Ground, Fenerbahce defender Roberto Carlos named David Beckham as the best free-kick taker he has ever seen.
The two footballers played alongside each other at Real Madrid for four years from 2003 to 2007, and in that time they had a system for deciding who would take free kicks.
Carlos revealed: “It depended on the position of the ball and the distance. I would shoot it along the short side of the wall or over it and he would shoot wide of the wall or over it.
"I would stand on one side and Beckham on the other, but I wanted to see Beckham take the free-kick because it's beautiful how he hits the ball.”
Beckham is currently on a short term loan at Serie A giants Milan in an effort to stay fit during the MLS off season, and the 33-year-old may get a few chances to take free kicks for the Rossoneri, providing that Ronaldinho and Andrea Pirlo allow it.
Roberto Carlos ended by saying: “Beckham was for me an enormous example as a person and a footballer.”

cesc
i have been sitting in front of my computer for 2 straight hours now and hardly need to go somewhere else except for answering a nature call which has been banging the door over and over again. anyway, i have also been monitoring cesc health these past weeks. to remind myself, he was injured during a match against liverpool and suffered a knee injury. this of course, a huge setback for arsenal but they need to be strong and move on. it is no use sitting on the bench without doing anything worth mention for. while browsing on my favorite cesc fansite,
i have found a handful pictures of young cesc playing a part in senior team while he was only 16 or 17. i remember his raw passes and tackles and i 'fell' in love instantly. God, how much i missseeing my old gunner squad. cesc was young, talented and truly a fighter. he loved to get involved in the game and not afraid to make those committed tackles. 3 or 4 years from that match, the young boy has become a captain of the team. what a wonderful life of cesc. get better soon captain cesc!
bad boy antonio cassano shared his moments with becks
antonio cassano was david beckham's former team mate in real madrid. they spent 3 years together and like any other former colleague, he has something to tell people the years together with becks. thanks to tribal football i was able to pick out his comments, check it out.
cassano welcomes ex-madrid teammate to serie A
Sampdoria forward Antonio Cassano has put out the welcome mat for his former Real Madrid colleague David Beckham.
Cassano, speaking to Sky Sport Italia, told of his time together with the English legend at Madrid.
“We had a good rapport at the time we played together at Real.
“I can say that, aside from just a marketing phenomenon, we are talking about a great player here.
“I played alongside him and can say that for certain. Beckham will surely do very well at Milan, because he can interpret all of the midfield roles perfectly.”
Cassano also recalled some of the more humorous moments with Beckham.
“In three years there David never spoke Spanish. Like me at the start, before I got to learn the language, all he knew how to say were swearwords!
“When he arrived in the morning for training I – who always have to bother someone – would often play a few jokes on him and he played along. He’s got a good sense of humour.”
updates on becks recent match
becks had his part in AC Milan's recent friendly match against hamburg during their off season. usually european leagues, except premier league, have their winter off for 2 weeks and some of the clubs take this day off to get their squad ready for the half season by conducting friendly matches. and it happened AC Milan were having their friendly match in dubai while becks was still fresh joining the team. i know he still have the 'crowd puller' persona on him but some people seem to have forgotten this and chose to pin point silly subject. take a pepsi ad issue for example. while some local newspapers were thrilled seeing international figure landed on their soil, british newspapers had something on their mind. pepsi and david beckham have ended their 10 years of partnership since few days ago and was thought to be a wise decision considering current economic instability around the globe. david beckham is known as #1 football star in the world and hiring him as an ambassador will burden pepsi even more, since he won't come cheap. these irresponsible newsmen seemed eager to forecast becks appeal was likely to deteriorate after the departure of giant beverage company, pepsi from his life. and i noticed, many of them liked the idea of having david beckham stumbled on the ground because of this issue. there's nothing big on this people! one of them had even linked this issue to gillette sponshorship few years ago. ooopppss i am way out of my topic here. okay, let's get back on again. he might have missed few weeks of match but the coach said something positive on him. i want to post those good feedback from the coach himself. apparently, becks was able to make the cut after much speculation of pulling him out from the squad after had been diagnosed of muscle strain a day before the match. i picked this one up but not actually a fan of the sun since their words are at times 'stray' off the line. toward the end you will notice there's one fact is lacking there, which is the win for AC milan. here's the article:
DAVID BECKHAM was praised by boss Carlo Ancelotti after making his AC Milan debut in a friendly victory over Hamburg last night.
Becks played the opening 45 minutes of the showpiece clash in Dubai, which the Italian giants won 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
The former England skipper, 33, put in a solid performance and Ancelotti said: “He gave a very good impression.
“Dynamic quality and also he is an intelligent player.
“Obviously he is not at his maximum because for two months he didn’t do anything.
"But he had a good week with us and now he is in a good condition and can make a good contribution to the team.”
Beckham has joined the Serie A club on a short loan spell from LA Galaxy during the US close season to keep up his fitness and stay in contention for an England spot.
He got involved early on, setting up a chance for Andriy Shevchenko before being subbed at half-time.
Becks, watched by son Cruz in the same kit as his dad, said: “I’m still part of the national team. When I’m playing and when I’m fit the manager has always said there’s a chance he’ll pick me.
“I’ve never played in the Italian league before so it’s going to be exciting.”
Ronaldinho scored Milan’s opener from the spot but Collin Benjamin equalised.
the man himself was satisfied with his first match for AC Milan which i will post the article containing his post match interview after my entry. this would have been the first appearance in dubai for friendly match. becks has joined the giant team since december 08 after weeks of circulating rumors of his imminent arrival in the heart of the city he finally arrived in the italian city. considering the fact that he had signed for 5 years with LA Galaxy, it would have been impossible for him to sign a long term loan with any clubs. he is a man of commitment, so i don't think he would do such thing as breach of contract. instead of training with a club like he had done a year ago with arsenal, he decided to make a loan move to a european club. some said, capello was the man responsible of this loan move to AC Milan. becks wouldn't have done such thing if he had not been pressed by the england manager to be match fit. 2 years ago, becks had joined arsenal in their training sessions to enable him to stay fit during off season. whilst european leagues usually run for at least 8-10 months in a season, unfortunately MLS doesn't go that long, therefore becks needed to sacrifice his holiday in order to play for england. playing for england? does this relate to the topic discussed?. of course, it does. becks happens to be coached by a very strict man named fabio capello. he won't back down from his commitment to only field his best and match fit players during his string as england manager. other wingers available are younger and most importantly, match fit compared to david beckham who hadn't played football since october last year. his loan spell will, of course boost his chances of being picked out by the coach, however i am not sure whether he'll be in the starting line up. i think a lot of people will strongly suggesting the england coach to get other player to fill walcott's boot as a right winger. there are a lot of contenders to mention not including some of teenage sensations in england U-21 squad. nevertheless, becks can still hold his head up high knowing the fact, no one has ever crossed the line as much as he was. i think britons should have been proud to have such a player in their country. he dared to take the challenge by playing in a foreign country to enable him don that jersey once again. i heard many people had go against of reinstating him in the squad simply because of his age. they thought becks would have done all that just because his obsession to overtake shilton's caps for england. funny isn't it? well, not many of them realize that along his career as a footballer, not once he ever chose to 'betray' his club by not signing a new contract. he was booted out from his beloved club man utd because of heated argument with the manager in the dressing room and was embarrassedly showed the door by real madrid after so much psychological pains he had endured during his spell in the club. during those 3 unbearable years he had not walked out though, and instead kept playing until his contract expired on the summer of 2007. have you ever heard any player, not just a regular player, but a star like he is commits to a contract without much of complaining. contrary to other real madrid players, he had not said any negative comments both on his team mates and the club itself during those painful years. well? a true professional indeed. when he had succeeded leaping all those black holes in the past 15 years as a footballer, i believe he will able to do it again to prove people that they are completely wrong.
BECKS "SATISFIED" AFTER MILAN DEBUT
David Beckham was pleased with his AC Milan debut in yesterday's 1-1 draw with Hamburg.
On-loan from LA Galaxy, midfielder Beckham managed 45 minutes in Dubai and later said: “I am very happy with my first match with the Milan jersey.
“I am satisfied with my performance. I feel a bit tired now, but that’s normal after so many days of intense training.
"I felt good in the middle of the field. My teammates are extraordinary champions and playing with them is easy because they put you in the ideal conditions to do so.”
Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti added: “He played a good game doing what was asked of him.
“We certainly can’t expect him to do something spectacular right away when he has only been training for eight days.” (tribal football)

another team mate good comment
well, i must say becks can only be smiling over this article. i am sure he had first heard it from the man himself. i read an article from goal.com saying that becks is assured to be champion if he plays with AC Milan. this comment was made by his three months team mate, andrea pirlo. why don't we dig in to the article itself
Pirlo: Beckham Has The Qualities To Shine In Italy
The free kick specialist believes David Beckham can do well in Serie A and there won't be any squabbles over set-pieces...
Milan midfield magician Andrea Pirlo has hailed new recruit David Beckham and he believes the former Manchester United man can exceed expectations in Italy.
Beckham is enjoying his new adventure with the rest of the squad as they train under the sun in Dubai.
The Rossoneri are currently preparing for their friendly game with Hamburg on Tuesday and 'Becks' has been impressive in training.
There has been plenty of talk about who will be taking set-pieces when Pirlo and Beckham play together, but the Italian isn't worried. "I don't have to teach Beckham anything, he is intelligent and has a great positional sense," Pirlo told La Gazzetta Dello Sport. "He has all the qualities to do well in Italy.
"Playing together? It's not a problem for me, we will try and do it well."
Milan's midfield has been weakened by the injury to Gennaro Gattuso. The crocked Italian has pledged his full support to his side, and Pirlo is showing great respect for him.
"Rino is an important player, but we also have other players who will make sure his absence isn't felt too much," added the midfielder.
"However, we will all miss his great personality and the energy he transmits."

stevie-g heads to the jail-short term only
if anyone would like to meet the liverpool captain, he/she would have to make it in the cell. well, at least that was where he spent his new year's eve. i have never heard of him fighting or causing any trouble outside football field and it must have been my first experience to know it. he has rather boiling temper but never heard of him causing damages in public. i am not sure what had triggered this mild-looking-but-spicy-in-the-inside man from striking a dj at a bar. i seriously don't get it. he had managed to guide his side 3 points away from title rivals, chelsea and here he was sitting on a cell. what the most interesting part was, he could be charged up to 5 years in jail, if found guilty. well, i guess we all have our limits don't we?. i am just curious how well liverpool are going to take this issue. they are currently sitting on top, but the league isn't over yet. chelsea and man utd could overtake their position if they slipped. can't wait to see that....
testy start for wenger and the team
i read an article from daily mail and felt utterly disgusted. indeed arsenal season has been ugly and less than convincing but it is not wise to speculate anything just yet when the man himself has spoken his commitment to the club. here's an excerpt from the article itself
"With several key players said to be heading for The Emirates exit door and his own future the subject of speculation, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger faces a testing start to 2009 as the Gunners look to reignite their fading Premier League title bid.
Real Madrid have reportedly offered the Frenchman a lucrative £25 million contract to take over from former Spurs coach Juande Ramos at the Bernabeu.
And with Spanish giants Real apparently attempting to sweeten the proposition to recruit the French boss by insisting they will break the bank to sign Cesc Fabregas, perhaps the timing couldn't be better for Wenger to bid a fond farewell.
With two years left to run on his current contract the ever-loyal Wenger has always pledged his commitment to Arsenal regardless or whatever difficulties he has faced.
But for the all the present uncertainty, January may prove to be a 'real' pivotal month for both the club and its manager".
wenger's contract runs out two years from now and it will be a horror if he decides to move on to other club in the summer. it sounds ridiculous and weird but it's still possible. i can still remember real madrid effort to coax ronaldo to leave man utd last summer. and they won't let go until the very end. wenger has never let money tempted him in so many ways, but he loves challenge. with ample players in madrid, he can make his champs league trophy a dream come true. arsenal are struggling to make the 4th cut, and if real madrid were able to enter champs league next year, wenger would drool over the offer made by real madrid. i'm a fan of real madrid and will love to see them to become a champion once more, however the idea of wenger taking over the management seems a bit out of range for me. moreover, he hates being supervised by a sporting director. he wants to have a squad for himself and let him to decide which player should stay and leave. by having a sporting director, he will have another 'manager' messing up his work. it's like having two lovers at the same time. who wants to be involved in such situation? wenger certainly doesn't. he has been the manager for 12 years and hopefully for another 2 years. i want to see arsenal win something this season and beyond. and i believe wenger is the right man to do the job. he is of course only a human and will not be exempted from making errors along the way. but it doesn't mean arsenal will be greater without him. plus, there will be massive exodus with his exit. fabregas is certainly be gone by the next day wenger signing off. and there will be a lot more players to leave if the manager decides to move on, not imagine the director himself. chaos is what we can get if he leaves. well, maybe it won't be that bad but i believe it will posses a lot more threat to arsenal dream title chase. it seems premier league is out of touch, therefore i can only hope for champs league title which is a lot tougher than the league itself. prepare your guns and ammunition mr. wenger coz it'll be ugly.....
thoughts of his adventure
becks continue to play in 3 different clubs less than a decade of his career. after being booted out from his beloved club man utd, becks embarked to a new adventure by playing spanish giants, real madrid. he wasn't enjoying beautiful years during his stay in real madrid and had failed to win any trophies in his 3 years as real madrid player. however, in his final year, he had managed to give a token of appreciation to madridistas all around the world by handing them la liga trophy.
after failing to secure another extension, he went to sign with LA Galaxy for 5 years. all i could say, his 2 years with Galaxy were not very successful after yet another 'trophyless' seasons. one thing is for sure, Galaxy need reinforcement especially at the defense line. donovan and becks can't help to lift the team if the coach is too lazy to get players the team need.
as a player becks is a determined player. while a lot of people making fun of his age, he could care less. playing for his country has been his passion since he was young thus nothing can stop him from getting more caps for his time of play. capello won't find it hard to find his replacement as a right wing as many other young talented players are waiting in line to be called up. these young blood posses something that becks doesn't have, pace. i know and i guess we all know that becks has never been the fastest player even before he was reaching 30 years of age. people gained a lot of respect from him because of his dead ball specialty. back in his old days, he was one of the most recognizable player to bend the ball around the corner. that's why he has been dubbed bend it like beckham. he has yet to show of slowing down as he is refusing to quit from England squad although a lot, many people that is, have made a mocking suggestion for him to retire from international scene. he still believes that at the age of 33, he can still contribute to the team performance as a whole. he may have to be patient though as he will be warming the bench as he was never done before. capello will be tempted to try on his young guns rather than to stick with an old timer such as becks or gary neville. this determination leads to his off season training with arsenal a year ago and most recent loan move to AC Milan which shocked a lot of people.
some people say, he won't be utilized as much as he wanted to unless he will spend a year or so with them. loaded with so many talented midfielders, becks will find it hard to squeeze himself into the squad given the time he has. Milan's doctor has given an early warning that it might take at least of 21 days for him to be match fit. and he'll have to be involved in matches in order to be called up for England. how unfortunate he is, if his loan move to Milan will go unnoticed by the England coach because of his lack of play. however, he needs not to worry as the injury list is growing and hopefully he'll make a cut as soon as the season starts. nevermind other people say as they will have negative thoughts planting on their head all the time. no matter how hard becks is trying to achieve, there'll be a lot of haters around him ready to pouch at any time. he is there to prove to people that he's still have some energy to go on and won't back down until his heart tells him so. as a fan, i can only support him no matter how hard it is for me at times to accept his decisions. okay becks, hope you'll get what you've always wanted and succeed.

Maldini impressed by Becks
Milan skipper impressed with Beckham after first training session
By Richard Bailey Last updated: 30th December 2008
AC Milan captain Paulo Maldini has expressed his admiration for David Beckham after he completed his first training session with the club.
The former Manchester United player has joined Milan on a short-term loan during the Major League Soccer close season in a bid to maintain his fitness in preparation for England's forthcoming freindlies against Spain and Slovakia.
Beckham is due to return to LA Galaxy in March but with the MLS season finishing in October it means the midfielder has not played competitively for over two months.
Despite this fact, Maldini is confident that the 33-year-old will be match fit again soon after he joined up with the rest of the squad at a training camp in Dubai during the Italian winter break.
"Beckham is a great champion, but we shouldn't forget that he has come into a great team and a great club like Milan," he said.
"We players don't care what his life is like off the pitch, we have found a lad who has not trained for two-and-a-half months.
"But I have had the chance to talk to him and I noticed his determination and his great desire to put himself to work immediately to return to playing as soon as possible."
Impact
Beckham officially becomes a Milan player on 7th January and could make his debut in the Stadio Olimpico four days later against Roma.
Even though the former England skipper's stay with the club will be a brief one manager Carlo Ancelotti is confident he will play a big part.
"This morning he took part in his first training session with the team," he stated.
"I believe he is an important player and that he will give his contribution to Milan. He is a player who can play in all three roles in midfield and he has immediately put himself at the disposal of the group.
"This week away will be useful to evaluate his physical condition and then we will evaluate when it will be possible to use him in official games."
Meanwhile, Milan's club doctor Jean Pierre Meersseman has likened Beckham to Rossoneri legends Maldini and Alessandro Costacurta.
"He will be at his top level in 15-20 days," he declared.
"The tests which he did showed that he is already very good. He has an exceptional physique which will allow him, as happened to Maldini and Costacurta, to play for another five or six years."

becks arrival in dubai
although it might be a little late to post this news today, i still think it's the best choice since i am a bit immobile for a while. becks arrival has been muted as best as possible, however he was enjoying good reception in the training ground. AC Milan are due to play friendly against hamburg from german on the 6th of january 09. whether becks will take part is remain to be seen as he has yet to reach peak level. he may need extra trainings in order to speed up his fitness. he might be called up for england friendly against spain, therefore he must work a lot harder than his other team mates. i am, though, not worried as much as he is in the good hands. playing alongside great footballers such as paolo maldini, ronaldinho and kaka is a dream come true for becks. hopefully, he will be ready for seria A in the next two weeks.
Beckham’s star staying power
Leah Oatway
DUBAI // As the sun faded over Al Nasr football stadium yesterday evening, football supporters clutching paper and pens waited to welcome the Italian football team AC Milan, and one rather high-profile English player.
At just before 5pm the team’s white coach pulled into the grounds, sending fans into a chorus of whoops and screams as they jostled to catch a glimpse of David Beckham.
It was the moment many had been waiting hours for. Beckham waved from the coach window to children perched on their parents’ shoulders and on the top of railings.
When asked how he was enjoying his time in Dubai, the former England captain said: “I love it, it’s a very beautiful place.”
Banners reading “AC Milan, we love you” lay draped across the metal barriers separating the fans from the players.
Loud cheers erupted every time a player, including Ronaldhino and Kaka, the Brazilian internationals, left the coach to prepare for training.
Chrissie Ammounah, with her three children and their friends, said the crowds were much bigger than those who greeted Milan when they were in Dubai in January. Beckham had clearly increased interest in the event, she said.
Her daughter Liz said she wasn’t a football fan, but catching a glimpse of the England international “sold it to me”.
Dean Weston, 22, said: “Words can’t describe how I feel. I’m a massive Beckham fan,’ he said. “If being in the AC Milan team gets him into the England squad then great.
“He just needs to keep his fitness up. I’m really looking forward to seeing him in action. I’m hoping to get an autograph.”
Andrew Henderson was at the training session with his two sons Robbie, 15, and Alex, 12.
He said: “It’s a bit weird seeing [Beckham] here, someone so famous. It’s strange that we get to see him so close.
“We’re looking forward to watching him kick about and watch how he makes the ball turn and curl. This is a big deal for us, especially with us being from London and him too. It’s great.”
Fans were treated to more than an hour of training from their heroes, including a practice match.
Dressed in a white sleeveless team training shirt which revealed his many tattoos, Beckham laughed with Ronaldhino and fellow team mates as they warmed up.....

excitement over becks time of play
Ronaldinho: Beckham must stay with AC Milan
Ronaldinho is excited about playing with David Beckham at AC Milan.
The Brazilian said of the on-loan LA Galaxy star: "I am very happy with the arrival of Beckham. He can help us win. If he does well, he must remain more than four months.
"In Italy, I'm still in the process of adjustment. But things are going very well in this time. The objective is doing everything possible to help Milan and also the Selecao. I hope to be among the best for many years."

news from becks
i have decided that this blog will go for becks, cesc, and other football news. it might also contain some other stuff too, considering i have other blog to accommodate my thoughts. i love this blog, that is the reason i keep it instead of abandoning completely. i guess, both of us have refrained from writing on this because we have found a page that really belong to us. we will write something of course, but won't be that often. we are passionate about football and wouldn't go by a weekend without watching a game. and by giving this page a special 'duty', i will have peace in my mind knowing that i will find a place to blab about my favorite clubs and other news surrounding football.
i came across an article in goal.com claiming that becks can still play football until he's 40 years old. rather than pondering without a single clue, let me guide you to the article.
Milan: Beckham Can Play Until 40
The Rossoneri's fitness guru has declared that old Goldenballs has another six years left in him...
When David Beckham left Real Madrid for the Los Angeles Galaxy in 2007, it was assumed he was waving goodbye to Europe and top-tier club football.
Less than two years later, however, the England midfielder is back on the continent after completing a loan switch to AC Milan, where he will spend the Major League Soccer off-season.
The Italian giants are eager to make the deal permanent, and club medic Jean-Pierre Meerseeman believes Becks, who turned 34 in May, can play on until 2015.
The Sun quoted Meerseeman as saying: “Beckham could go on for another five or six years.
“His cardiovascular readings are very good. His basic fitness is excellent. All he needs to do now is to alter his training programme slightly.”
Milan's track record in fielding veritable OAPs is impressive. Alessandro Costacurta played until the age of 41, while Paolo Maldini is still going at 40. All three of their first-team goalkeepers - Christian Abbiati, Zeljko Kalac and Dida - are in their mid 30s.
And although Beckham has not played since the MLS season ended, Meerseeman reckons he will be fit and firing within three weeks.
He continued: “We test and re-test our players in every aspect of body and mind.
“David is behind the others right now in terms of match fitness. It will take 15-20 days to reach the required level.”

half asleep
i nearly fell asleep few minutes ago. i had no idea how this could have happened? one could simply say, "you need your break, give it a rest will ya". i can't sleep right now although i really want to. a lot of things have been burning inside of my head and i am hopeless to get them out of mind. if i decided to have a sleep right at this moment, i would probably be waking up for the next hours unable to close my eyelids. still, i can't barely holding the urge to close my eyes. i need to work on my sleep hours though. sleeping past 12am doesn't help refresh my look. i have to look great on that day, so no one would ridicul me in the party. i have to start make my line of reasons to avoid messed up events in the future. people like to hear someone else's bad luck, but turn their back when it's time to offer their helping hands. it is what you call life my dear and whether you like it or not you have to accept the way it is. nothing can turn it upside down unless God wants it that way. my eyes sore because of looking-non-stop-at-the-monitor activity in the past 2 hours. i am irritated for not able to open my spaceslive, and i don't know what happened to my email as i am 100% sure there will be more than 200 new messages waiting to be opened. laziness leads to destruction. i understand that i need to start check those messages but i can't bring myself to open every message and reply to its sender. most of them are just plain newsletter informing about something new has just hit the store nearby and they are going to give out 1/2 price if i buy in certain amount. irritating and confusing. those are probably lies anyway, so why bother to open them. hoaaeehhmmm....dusk is approaching. old people said, a girl shouldn't sleep when the dusk approaching; bad luck is due to tap in our life. i don't know how far those words are accountable, but sleeping at this hour may lead to soreness all over body. plus, there's something good need to be done.
red dots
well, i have never had this kind of rash before. it started when i ate delicious but poisonous prawns a couple of years ago. both of us went shopping for groceries and found these delicious looking prawns with slightly lower price. in my understanding, eat seafood won't turn me into a swamp thing. i have had rashes before but nothing like this. when i was little i would sometime experience small rashes in some part of my body after eating seafood. but no need for me to take any medicine coz it would simply fade away. however, 2 years ago those prawns poisoned my blood and spreading it all over my body. i thought i was only having a mosquito bite and wasn't really putting much of attention as i had to pack my things to move them to our new home. but the itch got evilish on me and i couldn't stop scratching my face. i went to look in the mirror and shocked to see my face covered with red marks. without wasting any time i rushed upstairs to mom's room and quickly apply some ointment to relief the pain. it somehow got worse rather than better. it quickly spread to my other parts of my body and the pain was everwhelming. i felt like i was bitten by a dozen of bees and they wouldn't stop chasing me by taking turn to sting me. my sister went to help me applying ointment to all part of my body. i was puzzled and shocked at the same time. i know i have always had distant allergic to seafood but never got it worse than itches. i thought it was over and nothing could have ever happened to me again. i was wrong, of course as those rashes came back and haunt me for years to come. i had my dinner with my parents and decided to have it in my dad's favorite restaurant which offers seafood as their main dish. not thinking any bad thing could have happened to me, i had wonderful time that night. though an hour later, rashes had started to show their existence. but i didn't think anythng else that night as those rashes were gone the next morning. it went like that for weeks, until one night i was suspicious to what had befallen me in the past few weeks. to make it short, i went to my mom and said those rashes could have caused by prawns i had few weeks earlier. it was confirmed even further when i had soy sauce chicken the next day, i had ridiculous rashes on my back. the dish was of course, mixed with oyster sauce to live up the sensation. since then, i had to avoid any kind of seafood in many different occassions. to my annoyance, seafood is one of my favorite dish and prawn holds the number one spot. although i have visited doctors to cure this irritating allergy, nothing has come close to stop it except for only 2 days. as soon as my medicine runs out, i will suffer with rashes once more and it hurts me a lot. this rash is unlike any kind of itches i have had before. they burn my skin and continuously disturb my peace by scratching every now and then. no medicine can stop the pain of scratching. i wonder when i will be able to eat like i used to. i don't have to worry about what's inside in the dish. and i can be free from taking medicine once and for all. when and how?
