he finally speaks up

Cesc has finally come out from his dungeon and revealed, well nothing actually. he did not say clearly whether he would stay or leave for Barcelona next season. all he said was he would leave the decision fully on Wenger’s hands. he had a long chat with Le Boss and he asked Cesc to focus on WC and leave all the matter to him. i am not sure how does this sound to fans and the club itself but it certainly will leave marks on our head, at least for a month ahead. we don’t have any choice but to wait until WC draws its curtain close.

what i’m about to write is purely speculation and not associated with any media or person. from what i can derive, Cesc has asked for a transfer and made aware of his intention to the coach himself after the season has ended. when he said the coach would take care of his future and advise him to focus on WC, it is obvious to see that if a transfer were made Wenger would handle it for Cesc without disrupting his involvement in national team.

Cesc issue has sent us off balance for weeks and it is not good. if he chooses to leave this summer, then it is a very bad timing for Arsenal and he knows it well. as a captain, he is well aware that Wenger is trying to build more solid team this summer by signing CBs and a GK but he decides to shy away from all this and move on to Barcelona. i don’t know what has caused him to change his mind in a short period but he cannot drag the issue on for weeks. he did not say what was on his mind for a reason he only knows. all of his team mates were expecting to hear firm denial from him and commit to the club for another year or two, but instead they got nothing but more mystery.

i lost words to write but not my hope. media will predict massive exodus exit this summer following resignation from the captain, the same way they predicted we would be struggling to compete with new billionaire in Manchester town, did they hit jackpot? no, they were completely wrong. we still hold our champs league place in our hands while Liverpool, whom they predicted to be more successful than we were, sat nicely on 7th. we might never discover rare talent such as him in short future but all i can say is Arsenal will never crumble because of 1 player. we will most likely to experience difficult 2 weeks but we will survive and keep fighting for titles. for now, only hope will bring success apart from hard work of course.

if indeed he would leave Arsenal this summer, then there is nothing we can say or do to persuade him to stay one more year. one basic and most discussed issue is Wenger inability to provide our captain much success he promises every year. then, should we blame our trophy drought to Wenger? absolutely not. remember, we have built one helluva stadium and that didn’t come cheap. after 4 years, fans and the club can breathe easily after a statement came out to clear Arsenal from huge debt, therefore rebuilding can be directed to the team. one glaring fact stared you in the face but some refused to accept our financial situation back then. Wenger has made our European dreams alive by qualifying every year though he knows he has little chance to buy required player he desires. he makes it possible for Arsenal to participate in Europe despite lack of depth on his team. do you think other manager will be able to do so? think again. football is nothing if you don’t have determination and discipline in you. forget about beautiful football or magnificent passes if no one on the field steps up whenever it is required to.

now let’s back to Cesc issue shall we?. it is sad to see our most reliable asset to jump ship so soon but nothing we can do now. he has decided and we have to accept it with open heart. i’m pretty certain Wenger will do something to make us champions next season, so we better sit tight and watch Arsenal on your tube.

that’s all for now. tomorrow i will try to touch a bit about transfer rumors and how far will they come true. i will try not to name players as i don’t think it is necessary to include names without any logical reason. cheers

crappy mood and a lot more to follow

the headline shouldn’t determine every article’s content, or should it?. my mood has gone south and i know i’m supposed to be in bed now so my blog will be much more simple today.

it has been roller coaster 2 weeks for Arsenal and especially Arsene Wenger. Barcelona have once again tapped on our door and demand for Cesc to be released. it all began when Cesc gave an interview to Spanish media and what he said has caused major disruption in Arsenal camp. for days media has been reporting non stop on Cesc imminent departure to the Catalan giant. it is funny how these journalists keep adding spices everyday, i’m surprised they aren’t called chefs. more and more sources came into the picture and most recently Cesc’s father. he spoke to a Spanish radio station and begging for Arsenal to understand his son ambition to play for his childhood team. excuse me Sir? are you trying to fool us?. he claims Cesc is looking for speedy transfer so he can go to WC with a relaxed mind. this is one of hell conspiracy from the Spanish side.

actually, no official offer had been tabled not until today, however. another chief of Barca (i don’t remember his name) said he has sent Arsenal a fax, yup! a fax everyone, asking how much will Arsenal value him. well, they got their answer in a flash. if YOU want to get him, give me 80 millions POUNDS which of course being criticized by current president, Joan Laporta. he isn’t willing to spend such huge amount over a player they rate as 30 million pounds. well, you can’t trick us Laporta it is because you CANNOT afford that amount. acquiring David Villa has poked a hole in your pockets and you can’t move around unless you sell a player or two to accommodate your losses and that’s why Ibra and Yaya Toure have been mentioned as potential trade deal. oh come on, if Wenger were to sign a DM he would do so but without your help. Chamakh has signed for us, so there’s no need for Wenger to add another one. if they have their math ability in place, they should realize we’re now armed with 5 strikers. that’s F-I-V-E Laporta, thus send Ibra off coz he’s not our type. perhaps you can try west London.

anyway, nothing has been confirmed yet but still Cesc Fabregas Snr willingness to confront media and declaring his son intention is worrying. we can’t help but to wait. it is agonizing, i know. i won’t blame you if you have successfully bitten off your nails and starting for your toes by the end of the month. i will post my reaction on this tomorrow and how should we act if the deal should take place. cheers….
