o dear o dear..... i thought i could have a better weekend, at least better than last weekend. but unfortunately it wasnt meant to be. two my fav clubs have failed miserably in the hand of non-challenging teams. FIRST, arsenal were pushed aside by minnow west ham who had better day than arsenal and managed to get 3 points, which they doubted at first. arsenal got everything under control and almost leading by 0-1. henry passed the ball to rosicky, who brilliantly shot it wide. and there were more and more aggressive attacks from arsenal but none of them made into a winning goal. perhaps, they need more a little agression from their inner selves and start to think about titles. they had the players right in position but they lack communications between teammates and ended up with nothin and green, the west ham goalkeeper, wasnt dangerously troubled throughout the match. and then, there was a lil drama after harewoods goal. it was the first time i saw wenger lost his composure seeing his side crumble to the ground must be a sickening sight for him. hes able to avoid any confrontations without a doubt and he even knows how to handle himself when being confronted. fortunately for him, he wasnt sent off despite his heavy argument with west hams coach. but im sure the 4th referee will note that incident and the least wenger could do is to say sorry. his act was a bit odd, even for a guy like him. strangely, few players were caught with hustling bustling after the match which was quite unnecessary. the referee was the victim as well having cesc running to his face and told him somethin unpleseant, i pressume. that was ugly scene indeed and shouldnt have happened had been the two coaches quickly came to the players involved and dismiss them as fast as they could. but wenger was too busy to argue and failed to notice the incident coz he was confronting the other team coach and refused to shake hands with him. strange but true.....
SECOND, Real give up their title chase to struggling club celta vigo. it was embarassing enough how they handle becks issue and now, they are in grave danger of losing sight in la liga title. barca will certainly love this news and can take a deep breath after winning against depor. i doubt Real would win the match after a couple of mins gone. celta didnt grip comfortably in the first half and Real should have taken advantage of it, instead they running around the pitch like lost chicken. they didnt control the ball well and kept lose possesion mins after mins, i thought steaua bucharest played better than Real. robinho need an urgent lesson how to pass and keep the ball on his feet, guti seems to be out of pace and wasnt competitive enough to play. this team strongly need a motivation session where they can open up whats on their mind and learn how to fight back. coz certainly, i didnt see any counterattacks effective enough to break celtas defence. they do not have the best defenders in the world, Real have. and how come celta got away with 2 goals? maybe its time for Real to look into this matter seriously. i mean very seriously, coz if they are indeed chasing for a title some things need to be done immediately. they were certainly the second best at that match and celta deserve the win. capello made changes during second half and got it wrong completely. i would like to see some changes in the 60th min where things starting to go well. diarra should be played, i know hes on the yellow but hes the wall and he provides great tackles for the team. instead, capello should consider leaving guti and be replaced by beck who can switch to right midfield and playing raul in the centre. it worked before and he should try it once more, substituting ronaldo with beck was a desperate action by capello. if he needs more attacking options he can easily squeeze in ruudtje upfront partnering ronaldo and robinho off. with that, raul play on the left, beck on his right and leaving two strikers keep forward. i see passion when ramos and beck continued their run minutes before final whistle, and ruudtje was brilliant esp when he did a tackle and nearly create a second goal for his team. thats what i want to see from football games, and Real didnt give me that for the past 3 yrs. looks like losing is part of their agenda. it leaves beck sweating even more heavily looking at his side go down easily, and it must be hard for him to swallow the defeat. well it looks like Real will finish second, or maybe lower, this season looking at the way they play it almost impossible for them to beat barca in the next round when they will meet again for 2nd el classico. but for now, all they must do is to keep on trying and hoping barca might slip half the season, hey no one can be sure bout somethin cant he?
