maldini's view on becks

it's been 2 days since becks debut with Milan and i feel it was a good match for him. i was unaware, however when was the exact day Milan would play against Roma, luckily my brother found it when he was turned the tv on. i watched it from the first 10 minutes or so and was satisfied with how well becks played his first serie A match ever. one time he was even blocked a potential shot to become a goal from AS Roma. i guess it showed to all Milan's fans that he was there to play for Milan, not LA Galaxy. well, all haters you could see what he's worth for. i am going to post positive articles regarding becks first match and enjoy reading them all.

Maldini: Milan are stronger with Beckham

The captain believes Beckham's arrival has made the team even stronger...

Milan legend, Paolo Maldini has hailed David Beckham and stated his belief that the Rossoneri are stronger with the England star in their team as he looked ahead to tomorrow's match against Roma.

Maldini is in Rome with the rest of the squad as they prepare for Sunday's showdown game with the Giallorossi. Beckham may make his full Serie A debut against the Romans, and 'Il Capitano' insists Becks will give his side the extra edge.

"David has integrated well with everyone from the first day and it's all going positively. Milan are stronger with him around," Maldini told Il Corriere Dello Sport.

Becks has been training hard for his new side but reports suggest he could be doubtful for Sunday. Nevertheless, Maldini will be delighted if the midfielder gets the nod from coach Carlo Ancelotti.

"The coach will decide if he plays and I wouldn't be surprised if Beckham features against Roma," added Il Capitano. "David is working really well, but it's down to [Carlo] Ancelotti."

Beckham was out and about town on Friday as he had special permission to enjoy the day with his wife. He will be back with the rest of the squad today as they continue preparing for Roma.
