Rest assured our viewers and the public at large is appalled by Japanese whaling and fisheries practices. Even within your own country, recent polls show that over 77% of the Japanese public is against whaling while only 11% support it.


To say that Japan is carefully managing marine living resources for the future is a joke. Recent scientific studies have shown that over 90% of the world’s large fish have been depleted by over-fishing and Japan’s own factory-fishing fleets are largely responsible for this, decimating one species after another. Just recently, Japan was found to be in violation of its quota on endangered blue fin tuna. I cannot find one example where Japan has carefully managed any marine species.


In regards to dolphins and whales, Japan’s blatant disregard for these species is unfathomable. Japan is cruelly and needlessly butchering over 20,000 dolphins and other small cetaceans every year. There is no humane way to kill a dolphin or whale and scientific research shows that dolphin and whale meat is unhealthy for human consumption. Your own Government studies show dolphin and whale meat can contain up to 10-16 times the healthful level of mercury and that elevated levels of mercury have been proven to cause birth defects, neural damage, and death. As a result, several Japanese supermarket chains have pulled dolphin and whale meat from their shelves due to the health risks. Despite this however, your fisheries agency continues to advocate for the needless killing of dolphins and whales.


In addition, your whaling fleet is now planning to kill over 1,000 whales in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary including endangered fin and humpback whales. There is nothing scientific about this slaughter. All the data being collected can be and is being collected through non-lethal means by bona-fide scientists, not bogus scientists like yours.
Recently, a representative for Japan’s fisheries agency said:
“Whales are just as important, and no more special, than any other fish,” says Japan Fisheries Agency spokesperson Hideki Moronuki, maintaining Japan’s long-held position that marine mammals should get no special treatment for being warm-blooded.


Your scientists can’t even tell the difference between a marine mammal and a fish. Do you realize how ignorant Japan looks to the rest of the world? Please be advised that we are telling all consumers to not purchase any Japanese made products until Japan stops killing dolphins and whales and we will be vigilant in this regard. We are determined to end Japan’s brutally cruel and needless slaughter of dolphins and whales and I will do everything within my power to ensure this.

i admire celebs who constantly bring up critical issues to public and dare the consequences they might endure in the future. however, when someone goes overboard and starting to talk like he/she is someone from heaven above, we better put him/her into a garbage bin. my sist came across this open letter to Japanese govt and was quite shocked reading its content. hey...i dont like the way dolphins are treated but it doesnt mean i need to lash out a GOVT by telling them what to do. plus, hayD penn a.k.a hayden penettiere (oo btw she was the one who wrote the letter, how come i forgot to mention her name...who wonders) constantly using provocative words time and time again. is this necessary? i dont think so. you are welcomed to visualize your opinion in any means possible but dont PUSH PEOPLE AROUND. and that was exactly what she did. i dont know how the japanese govt gonna take this issue, but surely they wont be the silent spectator this time. hayD penn is starring ONE major big hit, heroes. and suddenly she wants to save the world like she does in the serial? i dont think so dear. she might want to be the next angelina jolie, but it wont get her anywhere if she doesnt know how to convey her messages, like what she had written above. perhaps it would be better if she goes to japan and be the 1st person to actually speak to the minister and view her thoughts as a grown up not as teenager who reads only novel. if you wanna be known as an activist, you have to do it the right way. have i heard response from other celebs regarding this matter? i should hope not. she needs to learn a lot from other celebs such as bono, angelina, leo dicaprio and so on and so forth. i havent heard they condemn a country coz of an issue that would be better off discussed peacefully. as a matter of fact, accusing and condemning wont solve anything. i wanna know what people say bout her letter....just have to wait

my sister and i have been the fans of the movie called the sisterhood of travelling pants and wasnt sure whether there would be another sequel for this one coz the story was practically ended they way other good movies end their journey. however, producers had second thoughts about the idea of having another continuity and decided to have a go. the movie will be directed by sanaa hamri. i wont be disappointed coz all of the original characters will be there once again. hope its goin to be next summer coz i dont wanna waste my time watching EURO 08, but then again who knows. anyway....cant wait to enter the year of 2008, so many exciting movies await...(thx to justjared for all the useul infos)

RUUD GULLIT EXCLUSIVE 'I THOUGHT I'D SEEN EVERYTHING, BUT HE IS A PHENOMENON'

Ruud Gullit thought he'd seen everything in football - then he discovered the David Beckham phenomenon.
The recently appointed LA Galaxy coach is just back from a tour of Australia and New Zealand which saw Beckham mobbed wherever he went.
And Gullit, once acclaimed as Europe's best footballer, said: "I thought I'd seen the lot but working with David stuns me. In my first few weeks as his manager I've been shocked on a daily basis.
"During the tour we played in front of 80,000 crowds. At the airports, in hotels and town centres, everywhere we went the place would be packed all because of David Beckham. People in England don't realise how big this man is all over the world. Which footballer in the world gets 100,000 people on his own into a stadium?"

That popularity highlights why the FA are ready to market the February 6 friendly with Switzerland at Wembley as not only Beckham's 100th international appearance but the chance for the public to salute their hero.

Gullit, who had spells as boss of Chelsea and Newcastle, went on: "In my playing days as a Milan star I became used to a few things. I was overwhelmed in a friendly way, every day by fans, waiters in restaurants, people at airports.
"But there's no comparison with what I see in my daily work with David. He really does need bodyguards around him every hour of the day.

"When I was a player, I used to do interviews all the time. I used to open my big mouth and nobody would tell me to shut up. With David everything is organised and people make sure he comes across nice and easy.

"But that's not difficult, because the lad is nice. I used to have enemies, because I always speak from my heart. I just blurt out what I think.
"David is more considerate. He does not want to hurt or upset people. I find that very impressive."
Gullit also insists Beckham still has a lot to offer on the pitch. He said: "David was written off at Real Madrid and he was pushed aside by Steve McClaren with England. He never moaned. He fought his way back.

"At Galaxy he leads by example. He is the front man in every way and it's a joy to work with him. That's why I can't understand the people who still bury him under loads of criticism.

"There is too much jealousy. Even the media do it. They all turn up here for a nice little interview. They are creepy, they talk smooth, but when the papers are printed, they're full of stinging articles about David. It really annoys me. He does not deserve all that garbage."

there are plenty people who are brave enough to fight against current in the riverbank, including mr gullit himself. but these people have been ignored for too long. does anyone in the world realize that becks is doing what he does best? just accept the fact that hes handsome and girls are crazy bout him and plenty of businessmen think hes cool to be part of their products. ooh i forgot to mention, hes full of cash too. but one thing he cant push aside; his passion for football. thats why hes still running donning that white shirt of england. c'mon people...dont blame becks for being popular coz of his looks and ability to bend those crosses. its time to sit back and watch his show coz its the best in town at the time being.

the best album of 2007 so far for me. ok, many albums i loved dearly but this one is insanely-amazing. beautifully done by the eisleys, couldn't have done it better. this is their best album, their best sound, and the only album i ever love every song, every melody, every low-high notes. EVERY SINGLE THING. hopefully their next will go far beyond combinations. as a fan, they're very good on live performances, and very entertaining. never stop making good music eisley!! it'd be dreadfully awfully sickening just to imagine that.

all this while i've always said i love music, i love every genre, i love musicians coz they make my life much easier. without music i'd be life-less, like the moment dementor sucks the life out of me. i'd love to explore more different angle in music, but eisley is something very different, eisley the indie, eisley is a fun band with the bright music that always lift me up. that's why i love them to death!

another day in my hectic life, but i managed to curled up my hair. Ha there's always some special tricks to do hair while pretending you're listening to your sister when the fact is you totally ignored her (ha-ha). poor lamb, so off i go to flickr while gathering ideas to write my heart out coz in fact i've no more idea. i love eisley's site, i love eisley so i love everything they're doing as long it's a good one. i'm an eisleyian.



tomorrow i might be off to have more and mooore fattening beverages. it's addictive, but i can't really be stopping myself from eating whipped cream on top. call me sugar addict, at least i'm cutting myself from the carbs so i won't feel guilty for whipped cream. at least i had some sushi and a donuts today, i'll have to go to a wedding reception soon i don't want to feel guilty for eating too many carbs. every girl always have weight issues.



i love spending more time with my family. my parents, my siblings don't you just love being raised in a lovely family? well at least i do. it's not a bluff, i've been a sunshine in everyone's (in the family) life. i love them whole hearted. i love being surrounded with good people with kind-hearted and positive attitudes. don't need more negativities to add into my happy life, moore and mooore positive influences please!



life sucks, that's what they say so what make it worth living and make everyone's life more meaningful with positive energy and a huge SMILE. i love it when people are treating me nicely, makes me feel appreciated as a person. still many ladders to climb, many tears to overcome, many warm hugs to be given, and many prayers to heal every sorrow. i love my life, i love that i'm in a position where i'm loved and an totally in love with everyone.

the poem directly written after the loss gunners suffered just now. it's never easy to overcome such big loss, you're a true winner if you know how to overcome something like losing and move on with a better perspective in life. *sigh*

hopefully this loss would make us gooners and gunners stronger and become united to face new challenges in the future. still, it's a big loss. no further comment would be made during this sad week. *in tears*

didnt it help by pressing the play button to learn a specific scene which is being played in the player?. if we keep pausing and repeating the same track over and over again we wont be able to continue the story being told. nonetheless, we might take those repeating scenes as a lesson to learn. by being able to watch the same actions for a number of times, we would be able to record every scenes involved and store them in our deepest memory. it doesnt matter to us if those repeated scenes are incorrect and hideous as long as we keep on watching them. and in no time we will be able to resound the whole acts without even being guided. memorizing is the best way to succeed in every possible way; but not for long. the downfall is about to unfold. those repeated scenes are being seen as obscene, immoral and hamrful toward a man's life. simply bcoz of, those scenes arent given and granted by the high authority of human's existance. freedom needs to be leashed and chained according to a specific law enforcement. why wouldnt it? freedom has caused major havoc in developing countries and the casualty keep rising from day to day. however, what kind of freedom did someone brought to his community. he brought freedom to free himself from poverty by taking other peoples live and dimes without hesitation. and those lives taken couldnt rest assured that someday someone would bring this matter to justice. and so, it was the beginning of 'freedomization' of this country; and by weeks, everyone has followed suit. thus, those repeated scenes will now be enforced to every citizen in the new world, with the execption of unrated scenes involved which will be taken off for good from the tape. this new world fills with robotic manoeuvre to attract nothing but flies

The True Story Behind The Red Mandarin Dress

At the beginning of the Cultural Revolution in 1966, Red Guards raided and ransacked my family home. As with many other so-called “black families” at the time, in the campaign of “Sweeping Away the Four Olds” the Red Guards subjected my parents to revolutionary “mass criticism,” seizing whatever they saw as capitalistic or counter-revolutionary, such as gold jewelry, fashionable clothes, bank savings, and old books.

That night, my mother suffered a breakdown, and I turned into a “black puppy” trembling beside her. Weeks later, I discovered in a dust-covered box a pile of books that mysteriously survived that campaign. Among them, a photo magazine contained a picture taken in the early 1960s, entitled “Mother, Let’s Go There.” The son in the picture, six or seven years old, is scampering about in a garden, pointing toward the distant horizon, pulling the hand of his beautiful mother in a stylish mandarin dress.

Judging by the details of picture, they, too, must have been of the “black family background”—in the days of the Cultural Revolution. Now, even Wang Guangmei, the “ex-first lady” of China, had to stand on a mass-criticism stage, wearing a deliberately torn mandarin dress that served as humiliating evidence of her decadent lifestyle. What could be in store for the mandarin dress wearer in the photo? And what about the son—who had been about my age—beside her? Still so happy looking into the lens, so unprepared for the disaster drawing close. I shuddered at the thought of it, failing to find answers to those questions.

Thirty years later, after having lived in the States since 1989, after enormous changes in China during the unprecedented reform, I came back to a family reunion in Shanghai. I met with a relative who ran a boutique mandarin dress store near Jingjiang Hotel. She told me about her booming business, with the mandarin dress staging a comeback in a collective nostalgia of the city.

Unexpectedly, her talk reminded of the picture examined so long ago, and of the questions still unanswered. Actually, they seemed to have gained a new poignancy in a historical perspective. Did the people in the photo survive the national disaster?

My mother never really recovered; I did, although scarred. Once again, I succumbed to the temptation of identifying myself with the son in the picture.

The memory of the picture haunted me. Eventually, as I started contemplating the possibility of writing something out of it, all the thoughts and associations came crowding into my mind: the cause of the Cultural Revolution, the absurdities and atrocities demonstrated in those years, the collective unconscious, the archetypes of the femme fatale in the Orient, the disastrous childhood trauma, the Confucian discourse at the expense of romantic love…

Most of the above are topics avoided, if not exactly banned, in today’s China. Naturally, all these converge on the background of a most challenging serial murder case, with each of the victims wearing a red mandarin dress.

Then I knew I had a new book in the Inspector Chen series. This time, pulled away from his academic paper on the deconstruction of love in classical Chinese literature to the investigation, Chen investigates further, not just into the present-day materialistic society festered with rampant corruption and social injustice, but into the Cultural Revolution, and into the long history that led to the disaster.

And thanks to such a picture, Chen finally flounders to the conclusion, when he shudders and exclaims, “But for luck, what has happed to the boy could have happened to me.”

so i checked on the qiuxiaolong's website as my sister told me, and i've finally found the new title for the latest inspector chen's latest investigation. me and my sister both are deeply fascinated by the way Qiu Xiaolong's portray Shanghai and the bitter side of residents in shanghai. sure, he still loves his native country where he was born and half brought up before he went to US and made a history himself. definitely a must buy this end of brilliant year.

i'va always been a big fan of poems myself, i've written many on my own though i don't consider myself as a writer. as i was reading eisle's journal i saw one entry about this poem so i clicked it and i found this very nice one (above by robert frost).

as i was searching for my books, i also stumble upon my emily diskinson's selected poems that my sister bought for me when i was still a teenager. i love reading poems, books, short stories. but not very heavy literature just simple but very entertaining ones.

just a quick post coz i'm ready to go to bed anytime soon (lying, i just want to go to my parents bedroom so i can have latte nitte chatte with dearest mommy). i've been a big fan of flickr (i still think it's a funny name)for a day now, i finally have my own page..yaay!! actually it's a collection of both personal and fun photos i've been trying to compile and stuff in together. it's not pro yet but maybe me and my sist could practice our photog-blood-from-ur-dadda and do some research together from flickrfans.

i've been extremely caught up with some issues today and other days to come, well i'm all squuezed up in between. and finally a certainty has fallen into my lap (good!), now i can sort things out.

MOM'S definitely someone i can turn to whenevre things are bothering my little amygdala, she's SUPERB, AMAZING, and a BEAUTY noone can even compare to coz SHE'S MY BELOVED MUMMY. love your mom, give them the warmest hug no need for reasons!

England's Euro 2008 failures can learn from David Beckham as they seek forgiveness from the nation's disillusioned football fans.
Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel believes the Three Lions flops should turn to the man who once transformed himself from Public Enemy No.1 into a national hero as they go about repairing their sullied reputations.

Schmeichel, who inspired Denmark to a shock European Championship triumph 15 years ago, was an Old Trafford team-mate of Beckham when the England man returned from France 98 in disgrace following his red card in the defeat to Argentina.
He believes it was the experience which forged Beckham as both a player and a personality. Schmeichel said: "Scott Carson took most of the blame for the defeat against Croatia last week because of the mistake he made for the first goal.


"But it became clear over the weekend that a lot of fans feel the other players were just as responsible - and some of them will come under the same kind of scrutiny that David Beckham had to go though in 1998.
"They've been branded as greedy people who don't care enough about the England shirt. That's something I don't agree with - but I didn't agree either with the amount of abuse that Beckham had to put up with.
"My advice to Carson, and any other England player who gets stick, would be to turn to David for advice. The amount of criticism he got after France 98 could have finished him as a footballer, but instead it made him the player he became.

"Now the players who have been hammered for failing to qualify for Euro 2008 have to decide whether they want to run away and hide or use the experience to improve themselves."
He added: "Beckham showed unbelievable mental strength to come through to the other side. It was magnificent to see one of your team-mates respond like that.
"When he went to the World Cup in 1998 he was a very good player. The next season he was an absolutely extraordinary player and was one of the reasons why United won the Treble.
"He didn't hide from anything. He would take corners within yards of the fans who were abusing him, yet he just got better and better.

"He showed no fear whatsoever. He just produced a succession of great performances and, within a couple of years, he was the hero of English football. There's no doubt in my mind that David Beckham became the player and person he was because of what happened against Argentina."

Beckham defied all the odds to return to the England fold after being unceremoniously dumped by Steve McClaren in the aftermath of his appointment as Sven Goran Eriksson's successor. The England coach was forced into a humiliating U-turn even though the midfielder had by then swapped Real Madrid for LA Galaxy.

Schmeichel says it would be folly for the next England manager to make the same mistake - even though Beckham will be 35 by the time South Africa stages the 2010 World Cup.
He said: "David once again showed incredible mental strength to get himself back into the England squad after McClaren had dropped him.

"And when he came on against Croatia the impact he had on the game was massive and he was easily England's best midfielder - that showed he can still influence huge international matches.

"I think the next manager would be crazy to discard David like Steve McClaren did. I know Beckham attracts a lot of media interest, but what I can't understand is why the other England players seems to be jealous of that.
"I know from experience you don't want all the media attention that goes with every big international tournament, so you would think the other players would be grateful to David for dealing with it so they can prepare properly.

"I've heard David say he wants to go for 2010 and why not? He may not start too many matches, but he is perfect to bring on when you need someone to make a big impact."

Zero to HERO

David Beckham was public enemy number one after he was sent off in England's 1998 World Cup finals knock-out stage clash with Argentina.
England ended up losing on penalties and Beckham, then just 23 years old, was slaughtered for his petulant behaviour. Less than a year later Goldenballs was the golden boy again after starring in Manchester United's treble triumph.
And by the end of that year his England redemption was complete as well as he helped Kevin Keegan's side clinch their place in Euro 2000 with a play-off victory over Scotland.

im really impressed by his comment on becks. they had been teammates few years back but he refused to back down when england players starting to blame themselves and got a lil jealous with becks achievement so far. perhaps someone needs to knock on some senses on these guys. becks was a no 1 enemy in his own country 8 years ago but he wouldnt let all those maniacs ruining his career. he has become a player that i have yet seen in football history. people hated him but he continued to move on with his life and proved to people that he wasnt going to let down man utds fans. in 2006, ste-c reigned as england coach and ditched becks as soon as he started his clockwork. but few months later, becks saved his career and england had a slim chance to qualify for EURO 08.

the last match against croatia was nothing but a reminder to the fans that becks can still produce some good crossings. not long after his involvement in the 2nd half, he made a cross that led to a goal scored by peter crouch. it was simple but accurate like he always does. but ste-c made an error judjement by pulling back jermaine defoe to the midfield area which caused england a flight on a private jet to swiss/austria. it still hurts saying those words, but nothing i can do to make anything better. it was a tough loss to england and i believe, the fans cant accept apologies both from ste-c and his squad simply bcoz it was only a game that needed a point and nothing less or more. but ste-c is proving time and time again that he didnt worth the job. he failed and people suffered bcoz of his errors.

if becks wants to play in 2010, why bother?. he always good at proving people wrong, maybe he can do it once again? hopefully he will make it to 2010. i have no idea whos going to be the next england coach. i am only hoping that it would be someone who has a good CV, unlike ste-c who only managed to reach UEFA cup finals with boro. international football is a different class from any club levels. every games involve huge risks and there will be no next year once a country lost to an opponent. whoever makes out to be the man, i hope he wont rule out becks involvement in england as playing for his country means a lot to him. england will play a friendly match around february 2008, and i cant wait to watch the game and see becks crossing those magnificent passes. i guess i have to be patient and see the outcome.

May God always be with you and bless you through this incident. things happen for a reason, no matter if it's the simplest meaning that's being hidden in the most absurd incident or the biggest lie that's waiting at the end of the tunnel. but the words remain the same and you'll learn through it.

EMMA BUNTON

Music has been part of Emma’s life

as long as she can remember,

so it was only natural that

she would forge a solo career

when her Spice Girls commitments allowed.

Emma released her debut solo album,

A Girl Like Me, in 2001 and immediately cracked the top 10.

This was followed in 2004 with the 1960s-inspired

collection entitled Free Me,

which was yet another top 10 smash.

Emma's single, What Took You So Long,

cruised to the top of the charts a

nd held on to the number one spot for two weeks.

"It was an unbelievable feeling," she recalls.

Leaving her Baby persona behind,

Emma was thinking about

her approaching 30th birthday

when she set about writing her third album,

Life In Mono.

And Emma's new style of writing

reflected her new maturity,

incorporating rich orchestral arrangements

and beautiful harmonies.

"It's like when you write a diary

and put everything in it,

but when you read it back

you’re shocked by how honest you were," she explains.

Next, Emma followed a childhood dream to dance a

nd joined BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing show.

"I wanted to do something different

and have a bit of a challenge, so it was perfect," she recalls.

Emma's graceful ballroom moves

were a hit with the audience and judges

and she reached the semi final of the competition

– the last female dancer to be eliminated.

In August 2007, Emma and long-term boyfriend

Jade Jones celebrated the arrival of their first baby,

a beautiful boy they have called Beau Lee.

Emma's life couldn't be busier.

Whilst relishing in new motherhood,

Emma is also very excited to be working with the Spice Girls once again.

GERI HALLIWELL

Towards the end of the 1998 European tour,

Geri Halliwell made a dramatic exit from the Spice Girls,

and she launched a solo music career.

Her critically acclaimed debut album,

Schizophonic was a massive success

and produced the number-one hits,

Mi Chico Latino, Lift Me Up and Bag It Up,

and a number-two hit with Look At Me.

She brought the 2000 Brit Awards to a standstill

with her characteristically flamboyant performance of Bag It Up.

Geri then had a huge number one hit

with Its Raining Men for the movie Bridget Jones's Diary.

She went on to release two more albums,

Passion and Scream If U Wanna Go Faster!

Geri has also released two best selling autobiographies

and two yoga videos

– so successful that they outsold Jane Fonda’s.

Geri acted in the Sex And The City TV series

and has appeared in a movie based on the cartoon Viz.

She is currently a UN Goodwill Ambassador,

promoting maternal health care for women,

a Patron for Breast Cancer Cares,

and Ambassador for The Prince's Trust.

Geri has just finished writing a series of six children's books

called Ugenia Lavender,

which are published by Macmillan in May 2008.

In May 2006, she became a mother to her daughter

BLUEBELL MADONNA,

who will of course be joining Geri on

The Return of the Spice Girls tour.

MELANIE BROWN

Mel B released her debut solo album,

Hot, in October 2000,

and it produced three top five singles,

including the monster hit I Want You Back

– a collaboration with Missy Elliott.

Melanie then embarked upon a new

and successful career as a TV presenter and actress.

She hosted two seasons of the ITV1

talent show This Is My Moment,

shot a documentary for Channel 4 called

Voodoo Princess and was a lead character

in the BBC3 sit-com Burn It.

Melanie has also presented Top of the Pops

and Party In The Park for The Prince's Trust.

In 2002, Melanie released her hit autobiography,

titled Catch A Fire, which went straight into the book chart top 10.

The following year,

she made her theatre debut in

The Vagina Monologues in London.

She continued to pursue her successful acting career

with leading roles in two films,

the horror Lethal Dose and the comedy The Seat Filler,

co-produced by Will Smith and

starring Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland.

From April to September 2004,

Melanie played the role of Mimi in the musical Rent on Broadway,

and the following year

she released her second solo album,

L.A. State Of Mind, featuring the single Today.

As well as rehearsing for

The Return Of The Spice Girls world tour,

Melanie is currently enjoying a highly successful

stint on Dancing With The Stars on US television

– combining preparations for the tour

with a gruelling schedule of ballroom dancing rehearsals.

Melanie has two daughters, Phoenix Chi and Angel Iris,

and is married to long-time friend and movie producer Stephen Belafonte.

MELANIE CHISHOLM

Melanie's first solo endeavour was a duet with Bryan Adams,

called When You're Gone,

which reached number three in the UK

and become a huge hit all over Europe.

Her debut solo album, Northern Star,

followed in 1999 and spawned two number one singles,

Never Be The Same Again and I Turn To You)

going platinum in the UK

(where it remained in the album charts for over a year)

and Europe and gold in Australia.

In 2003, Melanie's second solo album,

Reason, was an immediate top five hit.

It contained tracks produced by former

New Radicals front man Gregg Alexander and

Marius De Vries (Madonna, Rufus Wainwright).

The album produced the top ten single,

Here It Comes Again,

and swiftly went gold in the UK.

The following year, Melanie founded her own independent label

– Red Girl Records – named after her beloved Liverpool Football Club.

Having her own label gave

Melanie complete artistic freedom

and allowed her to create her third solo album,

Beautiful Intentions, which featured the top ten single,

Next Best Superstar and

the pan-European hit, First Day Of My Life.

Produced by Guy Chambers, First Day Of My Life

reached number one in

Spain, Germany, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland and Portugal.

The single still holds the record for being

the most downloaded single in Germany.

The Beautiful Intentions album also

held the number one spot in Portugal for nine weeks,

where it achieved double platinum status.

Melanie's first love has always been touring

and she has played more than 200 live shows

throughout her solo career, from small,

sweaty clubs to large festivals.

She has enjoyed a variety of gigs,

from playing on the ski slopes of Austria,

and New Years Eve in front of 100,000 people

on Albufeira beach in Portugal,

to Hero Square in Budapest before a crowd of 200,000.

In August 2006, she drew upon these experiences

and recorded a Live Hits DVD,

featuring both acoustic and electric sets.

Before beginning work on

The Return Of The Spice Girls tour,

Melanie had already had a busy 2007.

She has released her fourth solo album,

This Time, and promoted various singles throughout Europe

– The Moment You Believe, Carolyna and I Want Candy.

Melanie's new single,

This Time (a re-recorded version) features as its b-side,

We Love To Entertain You,

which is being used in Germany by

VICTORIA BECKHAM

As well as her talent for music and dance,

Victoria has had a life-long passion for fashion.

She famously joked in Spiceworld The Movie

that she always chooses "the little black dress",

but in reality Victoria has extensive expertise

and flair when it comes to clothing, brands and labels.

Not only has this allowed her to develop

an eye-catching personal style that influences trends,

but Victoria has also translated her knowledge

into a highly-successful fashion career.

In 2004, Victoria designed the VB Rocks fashion line

for Rock and Republic and later launched her own label, dVb.

dVb Denim was launched in Spring 2007 and previously in 2006,

Victoria launched the dVb Eyewear range

of sunglasses and also the Intimately Beckham

his-and-her fragrance line with her husband David.

This year, Victoria planned her family's move

from Madrid to the US, following David Beckham's move to LA Galaxy.

She and David now live in Los Angeles

with their three sons.

Somehow, Victoria has also found time

to launch her debut cosmetic line,

V-Sculpt, in Japan and has been guest fashion editor

at Harpers Bazaar magazine,

Victoria has filmed five television documentaries

i am currently writing a story and hopefully i will be able to sum it up this week. i like the story line but not sure what other people might think coz its not common to raise such rare occasion in this live. i have been amazed by the 'event' and constantly asking to myself, why would they have chosen such path instead our lined road?. indeed we are often faced by the fact that nothing in this world can satisfy our hunger. but does it mean we have to cross someone else's lawn for the sake of our own satisfaction? however, after reaching the deired lawn, what would exactly you wanna do when someone approaching, possibly the owner, and shouting loudly at you and it has caught others attention?. some of them assmuming you are a thief or a robber while the others might think you are a terrorist who is trying to escape from authority. either of those views do not make us live in peace ladies and gentlemen. however, there are people in this world preferred to be called a terrorist or a thief rather than staying at home and do the chores. they are enjoying themselves to be called such as that. what a pity to hear such scenario. it is true that as human we cannot judge people by their 'skin' but as a human we do need to impress other at least for our own sake. we are currently occupying a world where other people make a living from side stepping others. and we have to accept that. life is unfair but nothing is. these 'out of the line' people might have enough piece of cake for themselves and no matter how hard they are trying to resist, they hardly succeed from keeping away their naughty fingers from someone else's cooking jar. God has created human different from one another. each one of us has his/her own weaknesses and strengths. but dont make them as an excuse to harm people around us. lets be positive, any problems surface, there will be answers to that. if they are happy with their way of life, it is down to God to judge them; i will not interfere with anything. i am starting to understand the meaning of true love. it is not how much we love our boyf/girlf, but how we manage to cope with differences that can melt iceberg in atlantis for only few seconds. we love him/her in our own way, hopefully we can start loving others just like we love our beloved ones. be positive; one door shuts, there will be another door opens just for us.

im at a point where writing about football would hurt my ear drums like hell. this paranoia has in fact, surfaced after england horrible display at wembley which caused them a place in EURO '08. shame on you ste-c....new era you said? yeah right. it was indeed a new era which he has caused england to lose against croatia where they only need a draw to qualify. this is the first time since 1994 (england had failed to qualify for WC) england were hopeless at home. hes a bad influence after all, why would have FA bothered to make him england coach? one always wonders. its terrible.....

Lippi: Arsenal Play The Best Football In Europe

World Cup-winning former Italy national Coach

Marcello Lippi says that Arsenal play the best football in Europe.

The Gunners have taken the Premiership by storm this campaign and are currently top of the Premiership, having still yet to lose in the league.

“The best football in Europe, in my opinion is played by Arsenal,” said Lippi.

“It was thought that without Henry the Gunners would not be able to perform but instead look…”

“The Spanish sides I like less, although at Real Madrid Casillas is always the best. At Barca, the exclusion of Ronaldinho shows that something is not right.”

Lippi has been out of the game since stepping down as Coach of the Italian national team following last summer’s World Cup success in Germany.

The Viareggio-born tactician turns 60 in April, and he has confirmed that he will definitely return to management next season.

“Next year I will return to the bench. That is 100 per cent,” he declared.

Lippi is one of the most successful coaches of the modern era having won five Italian championships during two spells at Juventus.

With the Bianconeri he also won a Champions League title, an Intercontinental Cup, a Coppa Italia, and a European Supercup.

He also finished as a runner-up in the Champions League on three occasions in 1997, 1998 and 2003, as well as losing a Uefa Cup final in 1995.

marcello lippi has always been my favourite coach since the last 06 wc. though many people loathe italy, i fully supported italy during last 06 wc. that was a nice compliment especially to my gunners.

smile means thousand of expressions. i always smile though i often frown too but with smiling i ease my own pain and of course other people too (especially those who care). life goes on, time stops for no one and i better make my life worth living before i affect others who care with my despair mode. hopefully, i'll get through this and find my own everlasting happiness.

every path will bring me

bummerish

(not blooming)

day in just one second

whatta bummer..

first, i thought the internet connection went wrong when the cold hard fact that nothing went wrong with it just some lightning crash my cpu. after weeks without internet (i was outdated for a while ha-ha) and now suddenly the email makes me sad. another bummer. it's supposed to be a very good day coz finally i can do what i'm best at. surf the net. hixhixhix, sadly that email just crushed down my good mood.
everyone knows i'm a positive human being, even over-optimistic sometimes. but today, this very day everything that i thought would be fine suddenly vamoosh aka gone with the wind (or the words in that email) aka dissapear. sobsobsob. i'm very much dissapointed actually. never expected that would really happen. never for even once i'd thought that i'd be extra sad when the email finally arrived.

expect the unexpected.

that's what my dad always told me. how could i totally forgot those words? well after this i'm going to hug my mom and ask her to boost my mood. i always believe in so many things, i always have faith no matter what, and i always think positive in life. after all, life isn't always about joy but it's always about deep sorrow. i've always learned the both smooth and hard way, at least i learn new things by making awful mistakes.

hopefully, God will give me the best solution (though i'll have to work extra harder to make my life work) and show me the true meaning of this dissapointment. i should be grateful that i still face trully hard tasks in my life...without it i'd be a snobbish person with greed inside my eyes. enough for the sad stuff, i haven't decided what to do after this. mebbe another boring posts just like i always do ha-ha.
