Here we go
as you already know our team has been boost by Nasri's return to our side and some predicted he would start ahead of Arshavin. i, on the other hand don't agree with the plan to start him and leave Arshavin on the bench. Russian's form is improving every match and leaving him on the bench would damage his confidence once more. i'm sure some of you would agree with me, rushing a player is a foolish act and Wenger isn't one. he said it yesterday, he would decide again in the day of the match whether or not he will start him. i guess Cesc experience last season had given him a hard lesson.
other news is that we are now able to use Rosicky's service after he recovers from his illness; don't ask me what it was coz Wenger had not elaborate it yesterday. Vermaelen is still 2 weeks away while Frimpong, if everything works out as planned, might take part before the season ends. Diaby is out injured. this time it is his calf. no time scale had been given. but my bet is, he would be ready for the weekend. he will not play though since he is still serving his 3 match ban.
a lot has been said and many of them highlight how extraordinary it was for Arsenal to beat Barcelona, even if it is being played at their own backyard. Barcelona is by far, our toughest opponent in the competition and would probably the strongest side we will ever face this season. however, nothing is impossible. beating Barca will be the sweetest victory we achieve and how good it will be if we can trash them out of the competition early in the stage. some argue, Barca is far too early and would prefer to face them in the final. playing in champions league means we will be facing tough European clubs, be it Inter Milan, Bayern Munich or Barcelona. if we want to be considered as champions, we must beat these teams; no more no less. why do we squeak and scream of fear while we know the consequences. don't play with fear coz it will never bring us anywhere.
on other side of note, a group of fans are planning to chant "hands off Cesc" during the match, which i think will undermine the importance of the game itself. what matters the most it the result. in the end of the day, Barca would hunt our captain no matter what you chant or how loud it is. don't believe me? let's just wait till season ends, you will see.
among all headlines one question remains though; will Wenger risk Nasri and put Arshavin on the bench? we shall see in few hours. in the mean time, i'm going to drink a lot of caffeine in order to say awake. or probably, try some karaoke till my throat hurts.
be positive Gooners. we can win this game and continue our good run in the weekend against Leyton Orient. see you later...
let's shout COME ON GOONERS! ONE NIL TO ARSENAL

Nasri to return?
And as for other absentees, i'm afraid we have not gained anyone this week. We are still without Vermaelen, who will probably be available for Barca 2nd leg. New addition to our injury list is Diaby. Wenger did not mention what kind of injury he's suffering but since he has been in and out the team since forever, i think his absence will not put so much pressure in our squad. We have Denilson as a back up plan. I know he is not a proper replacement but it is better than not having anyone at all.
We will also be without Sagna who got his red card ban served starting from next match. I hope Eboue is ready for the big match. We cannot be left behind in this home match and Wenger shares the same sentiment with me. We are a different team this season no doubt about it. If last season, we lost so many key players, this season however we have our best players ready to take on one of greatest team in football and for the first time, i am confident we can beat them.
Resilience and commitment will deter Barca's solid back four. No team is perfect and Gijon had proven it and so had other teams in the past. Come on Gunners! we can do it.
I will post some news, if any.
Later all...

Crucial Win
anyway, a win against Wolves were much more important than getting 3 points out of Barca game. that was Wenger said a day before the match. and i could not agree more. our last match against Newcastle did not end the way we had planned and left sour taste in every Gooner's heart. 4 goals lead ended up with only a point after a silly reaction from Diaby to bartonuts harsh tackle. so, it's natural for Wenger to be worried and concerned on our progress. psychological damage is hard to mend. i do not need to elaborate on this one. we all know how will it end.
arrived with pride and joy after beating league leaders, manure, Wolves were pressed from the start with Cesc leading the pack agressively. i knew since the start, we were different. i think the boys were trying to prove a point to fans and they successfully had done so. i will not going to write every detail of the game because i'm sure each one of you has had enough of reading a length of blog post so i'm going to describe a gist of it.
one thing i noticed recently, Song has resumed his old duty as proper DM. after had been told to roam forward by Wenger earlier in the season and had unsuccessfully proven his points, Song is now our natural DM. his solid presence in the middle had given our back four a bit more assurance. he is like a Godfather to us now. without him, our center midfield looks broken. in the mean time, Wilshere adventure with England has given the kid something in return; he has matured a bit more and looks ready feature in every Arsenal game. his vision and precise pass had surprised many, including me. his fearless attitude has given us the edge over Wolves and with Song as his partner stayed back, looking after his back four, Jack had been able to utilize his skill to venture forward and helped his team mates to create chances. this kid is amazingly talented and deserved his place in England XI line up.
2 great goals from our hitman, Robin van Persie, kept us in 2nd in the league. late goal by RoonGoon, unfortunately had kept them apart from us by 4 points. i blamed Zabaleta for the doom. he's useless piece of metorites. i never rated him as full back and only God knows why Mark Hughes bought him in the 1st place. Nani's goal was contributed by silly mistake from Kompany. why do i bother to write this? it is because i laughed bitterly when Nani scored and realized 4 points is inevitable. manc will never be nowhere his neighbors level.
let's get on with van Persie's goals shall we?. the 1st one is my favorite. he scored it with his chocolate leg, courtesy of precise floating cross from Cesc. Persie's deadly form has hit high again, with 2 goals in this game. he has so far scored 7 goals out of ten matches. it's something isn't it?. a striker with his quality should be kept injury free in order to win important matches. CL match next week will be his stage once more. i don't doubt he will score more during the match and bring us the hope that was once lightened but had been blown away by injuries and consistencies.
as the season goes, there are 6 players that we love to keep for years. they are: Cesc, Wilshere, Song, Djourou, Nasri and Persie. these players have grown so much this season and have become our core players during tough matches. apart from Djourou, they are the ones who break solid defensive tactics and create chances. Johan Djourou had been hit with few injuries including his persistent knee problems that had him sidelined for a season. he is back with a bang and deserves to be partnered with our own Verminator next season.
we can beat barcelona and we will. the key is to be at 100% focus everytime they have the ball and break their rhythm by intercepting passes meant for Messi and Villa. isolate these two from his midfield team mates then we will do just fine. barcelona are dangerous from every corner of the field, therefore we cannot let them play the way they love to play or we will be punished.
i will post a preview before CL match and do score prediction. see you then...

Conspiracy theory
Indeed, we are only 4 points adrift from manure after embarrasing result on Saturday. That is because manure, who played against Wolves were left dumbfounded and zero points in the bag. But it is not the point. Can you imagine how close we would be to manure if we had stayed 4 goals up until final whistle. But instead, Diaby made a terrible mistake and let him easily provoked by bartonuts ugly tackle which led to his dismissal in the early 2nd half. Okay, it was a horrible one but consequences were so severe, putting your hands up to your opponent was never an option. He was immature and unprofessional for reacting the way he had last Saturday.
How costly it would be to our title bid is yet known. Psychological damage is hard to measure especially when it involves Arsenal. We gave up title chasing as soon as crumbled against tot last season and i fear we will do the same if Wenger is not doing anything. He admits he's more concern on continuing to win after shocking draw rather than his injury list.
Talking about injury, we are now without Djourou. He suffers a suspected knee ligament injury which may leave him out of the season. With Vermaelen still 3 weeks in the sideline, it leaves Squillaci the most logical replacement for him. I'm a little bit worried with this guy. He tends to react slowly and leaves his marked-man standing on his own. That doesn't sound good does it?. We have to bear this situation again this season and i wonder how Wenger feels right now after he stubbornly refused to buy a CB last month.
We are now officially without experienced back ups for our defence. Now let's leave it that way for us to think more about the situation.
Till later Gooners...

One disaster leads to another one
I have too many things on my mind but i currently do not have the will to continue rambling on about how stupid Dowd was yesterdat. He gave a very soft 2nd penalty to newcashit and even awarded a yellow to Eboue when he had not done anything harmful to zebra players.
He was deemed incompetent by fergie 2 seasons ago and even insulted his physical condition. Fergie claimed he was unfit to overseeing a match. I though how poor it was from fergie. but seeing Dowd 2 years from the overweight-saga, i could see he is not only have fitness problem but his judgement seems to be affected as well.
No, i am not siding with our players. I won't defend them because they definitely are not worth any praise. Yes, 1st half performance was top notch but we did not show enough character to wrap up the match with convincing result. Where was the leadership when we needed it last night?. Where was our captain when order had to be put forth? No one took the role effectively, i tell you. I will not start on leadership crisis issue because currently, we do not need such provocative statement from anyone including the fans.
All we need to do now is to keep our focus on remaining matches and try to get maximum points in every possible opportunity. Take one step at a time. The first step is to win at Wembley and bring Carling cup home. Probably you would think it'd be a walk in the park for us to beat brummers but nothing is certain at this stage. We have this particular-nagging-incurable disease that won't go away. We had 4 unbelivable goals but let opponents got to us and drew level. Okay, it was down to Diaby's stupid and childish act and also put Dowd in the mix, we are there to be the joke of the town.
Alright i'm to harsh to myself and the club but i can't help it. I braced storms and thunders to find live stream and watch patiently. but all they did was threw me their stinking towels. What i'm talking about? I better be resting my battered brain and probably be writing a bit on our team thereafter

probable line up and match prediction
well, not much to say for this match except we have to work hard to get the result right. twice we had been broken to pieces by these lads. it’s time for our players to step up to the challenge and show to doubters out there that we can snatch the Premier League title out of manure’s hands.
we have no major injuries since the match against Leeds except few minor knocks, so we will have our full team again for Wigan. expect nothing but uphill battle Gooners. so here is my team line up:
Szczesney (GK)
Sagna Djourou Koscielny Clichy
Song Wilshere
Walcott Cesc Nasri
RvP
there is this doubt over Nasri’s fitness though. @thegoonblog has pointed out that Nasri still has to take pain killers in order to whisk his ankle pain away. it has yet to be resolved.
the one in the above is everyone’s favourite line up but Wenger loves to surprise many, including myself, and opt for a different one. with Nasri injury mystery, he may go for Arshavin and chooses Nasri as 2nd half sub. Rosicky could be involved as well. again, it all depends on each player’s fitness. not playing Nasri could mean upsetting some fans but if it’s for the better, i can’t see why we try Arshavin on the left.
i want to talk a little bit about the Russian player. he has been recently become Arsenal target man and been constantly in the wrong side of the fans. he’s a fantastic player, no doubt about it. however, his physical stature does not allow him to do much. PL is known for its pace and physical game in which Arshavin was not accustomed to. he came from a Russian club in a Russian football league and that says it all. not everyone can adjust well with the physical condition of PL, but i beg for patience for this little guy. he has the technicality that, sometime, goes beyond Cesc and other Arsenal players. don’t talk about selling him after his first year in Arsenal. let’s wait a little longer then see what happens next winter. if he does not perform still, then we can consider options for him. but until then, be supportive to our Russian playmaker. if you noticed, he has been trying really hard to get involved in matches and even ran back to help defence. it’s an improvement isn’t it?.
and as for match prediction, i would go for 2-0 for Arsenal and if anything goes mental, 3-1 is the score line. i seldom gets it right, so let’s just hope i get this one correctly.
that’s actually it. till then Gooners…
CB, CB and CB
it is clear ever since the injury of Thomas Vermaelen our top priority is to sign a world class centre back with years of experience but cost us a penny. does it sound a bit off? or is it just me?. no player is cheap these days especially when you put 30 something appearances for a club and netted 25 goals, at least. just look at Dzeko. manshites paid him huge salary which i believe will only lead to another wasteful purchase. hey, i dont undermine his talent but with a player cost a club in that amount, every fan would love to hang him upside down should he fail to impress; i would. most of the times, pressure can be hard which usually lead to failure.
anyway, let’s get back to business shall we?. there are names being paraded around by media and i don’t find them to be quite a replacement for Vermaelen. every corner of fan cafes has strongly advised Wenger to buy high quality (sounds like frying pan) CB but deep down inside i have never believed Wenger would buy someone like Cahill or Samba to temporarily replace Vermaelen. these are types of players who don’t fill in. they are first team players and believe me, not one of them would love to see Koscielny or Djourou play ahead of them. they will not allow these players to stamp out their reputation and will most likely choose to stay with their respective clubs. am i disappointed? no. why should i?. Wenger had confirmed again yesterday that Squillaci would not be far from recovery and would most likely be in the squad next weekend. he also said Song could be deployed as emergency CB and Diaby or Denilson would fit in just fine in the middle. see? how efficient our coach is. don’t blame me, he’s the coach.
we had tried to sign Jagielka in the summer but it broken down due to price offered by Everton. and we would not approach him again unless we lose CBs in the summer. there are names mentioned but i don’t think they’d be as ridiculous as this one. guess what? someone is playing April fool ahead of the month itself. Arsenal is rumoured to try to sign spuds defender, Jonathan Woodgate! merry christmas everybody. i won’t talk about it as it is both rubbish and delusional at the same time. Wenger would NEVER sign someone who can’t even play 2 games a week let alone filling Vermaelen shoes. and the fact that he’s playing for another North London club makes the move sound more silly than Justin Bieber winning Grammy award (let’s hope he doesn’t).
the match is coming in less than 4 hours. i hope everyone is ready and get 3 points we need. i will probably write something before the game and possible line up as well.
till then my lovely Gooners…
key to success
i must whip myself a little harder if i want to keep this blog alive. well, i have skipped writing preview and review for West Ham match which turned out to be one of the best matches we ever produced in the last 2 seasons.
anyway, i am not going to talk about West Ham coz it’s already been done. we won the match pretty convincingly and i’m going to stop at that.
another match has passed. FA Cup match between Arsenal and Leeds United have been won and we are through to 4th round. we will face Hoff-something club and though they may not even playing at the same league as us or Leeds Utd, they cannot be underestimated or belittled for the sake of our own pride. we were proud and felt save when we led Wigan with 2 goals ahead but paid the price and finally lost to them in embarrassing manner. and all Gooners in the world know, that was the day when we gave up on our title bid.
that’s in the past, i won’t let myself crying over something that’s done. we are going to face, well who else than the very club i mentioned above. looks like i have to stick with them for at least few more paragraphs.
we cannot afford to lose and nothing than 3 points is acceptable. i know Arsenal can be sometimes pain in the bottom, but seeing the way we fought our way into 4th round, i can safely say we are different team now. the key is to keep possession in our way and no more sloppy passes. scoring first would endanger us being chased around the pond but i can take 1 goal more than a draw.
we are only 2 points away from Manshites and playing 1 game less than the Eastland club. it means we can topple them if we win this match and 1 game owed to us. i have yet to check our fixture but i can sense we are getting close to one of the title. nothing is fixed yet. anything can happen in football and our chance to win any of the cup is like having Elton John doing concert in China. just kidding.
till tomorrow Goooners. i will try to update whatever comes in my mind. it may be about our CB signing or any other Arsenal related news.
till later…

the loss and others in between
by now our loss to Ipswich has gone and buried. every fan in every corner of the globe would never argue how disgusting the match was. i am not talking about the result but the way we approach the game. i won’t be discussing any of it since it has already in the past and no words could undo it unless we are entering Matrix world and make them install a reversing software. but even they could undo it, i don’t think it’d make any difference; our laziness would hurt us twice and i don’t need to see it again.
later today (London time) we will travel to Upton Park to beat our own phantoms. we have not been in good shape since we managed to hammer Chelsea, who are suffering the same sickness as we are. 3 points is the only answer to quash any doubters out there. we have allowed manshites and manure to pull away and stole some precious points from us. West Ham will be looking a win to save them from relegation zone. this will not be easy for us especially after the bitter defeat just 3 days ago. 1 point is enough for West Ham though 3 points is also in their sight.
i have no doubt we will not see major changes from the side. Gibbs, Arshavin and Denilson are players who started against Ipswich and i’m pretty convinced they are not starting today. there is an injury though. Fabianski who has not played in the recent cup matches, has to be sidelined of shoulder injury. Wenger has not stated when he will be available, but i have confidence on Wocj. he is a big guy and most importantly, he is talented and knows his place well.
i can’t wait to watch the game and see whether we are up to the challenge and win important games like champions should. my team line up won’t be much different from other Gooners. here it is:
Wocj-Eboue-Djourou-Koscielny-Clichy-
Song-Wilshere-Cesc-
Walcott-Nasri-
RvP
subs: Shea, Gibbs, Arshavin, Denilson, Chamakh, Bendtner, Rosicky

Manshites match
the match will begin in few hours. i haven’t had time to sleep so i might be dozing off for a bit and then get ready to watch it with full power. we won the last encounter away with powerful score line; 3 goals without any fight from the Eastland. today, it will be different from them. they have blended in though not quit settle in just yet, they still post great threats to our title hopes. manshites are sitting 2nd with 2 points clear from us, therefore if we want to challenge for the title we must beat them.
i don’t care much about goals, i will stick with 1 goal only. in this kind of game 1 goal might not be enough but it’s even better than getting another than concede at last minute. i hate surprises and i know this game will give me just that. as you all know, our home records has not been good this season and knowing it, i’m sure Mancini will get this fact embedded on his team’s mind before the match starts.
i have a good feeling for this game but it usually works against me, so yeah i’m a bit stressed out and need my rest before i chew everything and end up in hospital with no handsome nurse. i’m getting more nervous now. i better be resting.
later Gooners. be ready for something revolutionary, i hope.
before i go, i want to stress out the importance of Nasri and Song in this match. we saw how freely Nasri went forward for the brum match and it paid us handsomely. with Song provided good cover in midfield both Wilshere and Cesc should be our main attacking force in the centre. i don’t know who will start up front but my guts tell me it will be RvP once again. whoever starts, i know he will give all to the team.
Good luck Gunners! love ya till i die

sad
sad sad Saturday indeed for me. i dont have to dig up my old-still-bleeding wound. the result against Sunderland had stayed long enough for me to stay away from any football news. i picked up a headline today and how we, once again, learned from the painful last second in Stadium of Light. it’s the same old thing running back and forth, how Arsenal painfully pickup the broken pieces and try to mend it back again. on Saturday, we were reminded how awful our full back is.
Song sent off for silly mistake which im sure Wenger wouldnt let him off easily. we had plenty of opportunities including penalty kick which should have been our winning goal. Rosicky has missed his shots during matches and only Arshavin can match his records. he was probably took the penalty because he was wearing the armband. as much as i adored his performance on the day, i truly blamed him and Clichy for our lost points.
Clichy, who has yet to convince me as solid LB once again showing how flimsy he is on tough times. his nervousness caused havoc when it was merely seconds away from the win, he decided to kick the ball away clumsily which bounced off toward Koscielny’s back and later picked up by Darren Bent. it was SECONDS away from winning the match but we gave it away once more. it might have been the first time this season but we all know it wont stop here. in the last couple of seasons, we squandered our lead in last minutes of the game and ended up losing.
if we want to be considered as champions, we cant afford to play like that. it’s painful to see. i dont mind if we are Leicester or Kettering Town but we are not. they will continue to mock us and will never stop unless we win something. am i at fault for wanting to win trophies? do i sound insane if i want us to beat Chelsea? no, i dont think so. we are capable of doing many things but we have so far been disappointing. it breaks my heart seeing Arsenal crumbled too easily in the early stage. but it is not the end of the day. we have plenty important away games which we cant take them lightly. a trip to Fulham, Aston Villa, Totenham, Everton, Birmingham and two other top clubs ground have haunted us for the last decade. Sunderland wont be the last to bring us down. there are plenty more, that’s why we must not linger far too long on this sadness and must move on before the guilt erode our integrity.

new beginning and some others
i was about to write then my Windows prompt update notified me for new updates. nothing significant has been added, but probably few tweaks and twist were inserted without me knowing. i’m not IT expert anyway. shall we move on? i think shall.
i know i had promised myself to be more concern on this blog rather than updating my other sources of inspiration but i know idea sometimes can be too deceiving to keep.
as we all know Arsenal had their one of the sweetest win in champs league and though it was defied as unimportant win by some quarters of people, we never doubt Arsenal willingness to win in that match. i will not go in details as other bloggers as well as reviewers have ripped through it in every inch possible and i dont see how i will add more depths into already superb analysis by them.
on Saturday, Arsenal will go head to head with one of the strongest minnows, Sunderland. for the past 2 seasons, we have yet to find our magic touch in the Stadium of Light and failed to impress again last season. dont ask me why, it’s just typical Arsenal crumble to much lesser side. and apparently, Arsenal have grown another habit and no matter how hard i analyze i just cant understand why we are too ,struggling against top side. the bottom line is, we make ourselves more confusing when we should just score a couple of goals and defend them, but we often screw it up by making silly unjustifiable errors.
why do i believe we are entering ‘a new beginning’. it’s simple really. at the opening match against Liverpool, we saw glimpses of mature young players. despite their personal errors, they performed a lot better as a unit. though he was newly introduced to premier league, Koscielny offered some glittering display against prominent side. i know it’s not something we can celebrate because winter is yet to set its big paws upon us. unlike in many leagues, English premier league does not stop its spinning wheel during Christmas and winter. and we all know injuries come during the most hectic month. some Gooners believe the real test is yet to dawn on us. we have some difficult away games await in October to December. if we can win all these matches, im sure premier league trophy is not far away.
back to my question earlier. we have been dubbed as inexperienced side for only-God-knows how long and this season is not an exception. many pundits, journalists and even managers believe Arsenal are not quite ready yet to face toughest opponents from both domestic and Europe. however, Wenger believes otherwise. he sense his young players have learned from bitter experiences from last season last minute crumble which cost them title. our trip to Blackburn jinxed hole had not earned us praise like we should have. although we scored big on that occasion, the win against Bolton seems too little to be considered. the point is, we will never win their praise because no title is yet to be won since 5 years ago. and for a club like Arsenal, winning is the benchmark. Chelsea for example, have won many things in this decade alone. okay, some Gooners might chop me to death for saying that, but it’s true they have won FA Cup, Premier League, Community Shield and Football League Cup in the past 10 years. Arsenal have also achieved quite a bit the same but the length of each trophies are telling you a different story.
im not complaining, but i merely talk some sense in hoping to regain our faith that if believe something could happen, it will eventually materialize. and i truly believe this season could bring something to us. Wenger and the boys have done enough last season to secure another slot for European champs league which in my opinion is never easy considering our tight budget but yet flourished.
the challenge for the new season is mounting especially if you look at how much investment MC have brought during summer break and possibly in winter too. but how do they fare so far? 1 win (home) 2 draws (home & away) and 1 lose (away). some might want to argue there are plenty of new players were added in the summer and they have yet to adapt to Mancini’s style, but how can you explain multimillion of Dollars spent to those ardent fans?. fans didnt buy those players, but will suffer from owner’s financial problems if MC dont get turnaround they planned. ironic isnt it? but that’s life. unlike MC or any other big clubs, Arsenal is investing a lot on their youth ranks. promoting potential and talented young players to first team and learn challenging tasks through their experienced team mates. i agree, at times these young players are far from ready and fade away during big games. but i know i have to be patient.
we are suffering from, now famous, 5 years of trophy famine. some quarters even joked it’d be 6 next year. i didnt laugh, it was not a birthday i should celebrate. they can ridicule all they want but facts will always be facts. the FACT that we are still in a good financial health must be directed to our manager, Arsene Wenger. his careful policy of signing player should be applauded. he will never pay millions of Dollars for a player whom he thinks not worth the praise. his a professor by the way.
i’m seeing a different side of Arsenal team this season. the feared subject of -“Will Cesc be himself again after Wenger snubbed his dream move?”- should be shelved off somewhere safe. his commitment is here, with Arsenal and we will see that again later today. as long as he’s playing with us i dont want to bother myself whether or not he has Barca on his mind. if we keep winning, any possibility is not in far distance. Adios…

he finally speaks up
Cesc has finally come out from his dungeon and revealed, well nothing actually. he did not say clearly whether he would stay or leave for Barcelona next season. all he said was he would leave the decision fully on Wenger’s hands. he had a long chat with Le Boss and he asked Cesc to focus on WC and leave all the matter to him. i am not sure how does this sound to fans and the club itself but it certainly will leave marks on our head, at least for a month ahead. we don’t have any choice but to wait until WC draws its curtain close.
what i’m about to write is purely speculation and not associated with any media or person. from what i can derive, Cesc has asked for a transfer and made aware of his intention to the coach himself after the season has ended. when he said the coach would take care of his future and advise him to focus on WC, it is obvious to see that if a transfer were made Wenger would handle it for Cesc without disrupting his involvement in national team.
Cesc issue has sent us off balance for weeks and it is not good. if he chooses to leave this summer, then it is a very bad timing for Arsenal and he knows it well. as a captain, he is well aware that Wenger is trying to build more solid team this summer by signing CBs and a GK but he decides to shy away from all this and move on to Barcelona. i don’t know what has caused him to change his mind in a short period but he cannot drag the issue on for weeks. he did not say what was on his mind for a reason he only knows. all of his team mates were expecting to hear firm denial from him and commit to the club for another year or two, but instead they got nothing but more mystery.
i lost words to write but not my hope. media will predict massive exodus exit this summer following resignation from the captain, the same way they predicted we would be struggling to compete with new billionaire in Manchester town, did they hit jackpot? no, they were completely wrong. we still hold our champs league place in our hands while Liverpool, whom they predicted to be more successful than we were, sat nicely on 7th. we might never discover rare talent such as him in short future but all i can say is Arsenal will never crumble because of 1 player. we will most likely to experience difficult 2 weeks but we will survive and keep fighting for titles. for now, only hope will bring success apart from hard work of course.
if indeed he would leave Arsenal this summer, then there is nothing we can say or do to persuade him to stay one more year. one basic and most discussed issue is Wenger inability to provide our captain much success he promises every year. then, should we blame our trophy drought to Wenger? absolutely not. remember, we have built one helluva stadium and that didn’t come cheap. after 4 years, fans and the club can breathe easily after a statement came out to clear Arsenal from huge debt, therefore rebuilding can be directed to the team. one glaring fact stared you in the face but some refused to accept our financial situation back then. Wenger has made our European dreams alive by qualifying every year though he knows he has little chance to buy required player he desires. he makes it possible for Arsenal to participate in Europe despite lack of depth on his team. do you think other manager will be able to do so? think again. football is nothing if you don’t have determination and discipline in you. forget about beautiful football or magnificent passes if no one on the field steps up whenever it is required to.
now let’s back to Cesc issue shall we?. it is sad to see our most reliable asset to jump ship so soon but nothing we can do now. he has decided and we have to accept it with open heart. i’m pretty certain Wenger will do something to make us champions next season, so we better sit tight and watch Arsenal on your tube.
that’s all for now. tomorrow i will try to touch a bit about transfer rumors and how far will they come true. i will try not to name players as i don’t think it is necessary to include names without any logical reason. cheers

crappy mood and a lot more to follow
the headline shouldn’t determine every article’s content, or should it?. my mood has gone south and i know i’m supposed to be in bed now so my blog will be much more simple today.
it has been roller coaster 2 weeks for Arsenal and especially Arsene Wenger. Barcelona have once again tapped on our door and demand for Cesc to be released. it all began when Cesc gave an interview to Spanish media and what he said has caused major disruption in Arsenal camp. for days media has been reporting non stop on Cesc imminent departure to the Catalan giant. it is funny how these journalists keep adding spices everyday, i’m surprised they aren’t called chefs. more and more sources came into the picture and most recently Cesc’s father. he spoke to a Spanish radio station and begging for Arsenal to understand his son ambition to play for his childhood team. excuse me Sir? are you trying to fool us?. he claims Cesc is looking for speedy transfer so he can go to WC with a relaxed mind. this is one of hell conspiracy from the Spanish side.
actually, no official offer had been tabled not until today, however. another chief of Barca (i don’t remember his name) said he has sent Arsenal a fax, yup! a fax everyone, asking how much will Arsenal value him. well, they got their answer in a flash. if YOU want to get him, give me 80 millions POUNDS which of course being criticized by current president, Joan Laporta. he isn’t willing to spend such huge amount over a player they rate as 30 million pounds. well, you can’t trick us Laporta it is because you CANNOT afford that amount. acquiring David Villa has poked a hole in your pockets and you can’t move around unless you sell a player or two to accommodate your losses and that’s why Ibra and Yaya Toure have been mentioned as potential trade deal. oh come on, if Wenger were to sign a DM he would do so but without your help. Chamakh has signed for us, so there’s no need for Wenger to add another one. if they have their math ability in place, they should realize we’re now armed with 5 strikers. that’s F-I-V-E Laporta, thus send Ibra off coz he’s not our type. perhaps you can try west London.
anyway, nothing has been confirmed yet but still Cesc Fabregas Snr willingness to confront media and declaring his son intention is worrying. we can’t help but to wait. it is agonizing, i know. i won’t blame you if you have successfully bitten off your nails and starting for your toes by the end of the month. i will post my reaction on this tomorrow and how should we act if the deal should take place. cheers….

painful defeat
at times i know what will happen in a game right before it has started. last night same thing happened to me when i saw fabianski was handed the start ahead Almunia and Mannone. i could never bring myself to lay out details of the match that should have been our turning point. having seen MU snatched a late win on their city rivals’ turf proving a dreadful fact to myself: they are truly champions. some of Gooners may slag off my statement here, but deep inside you will realize how flimsy we are in defence especially when we need everything they have in a very grace situation. one thing for sure now: our league title has now really gone down the drain after we had thrown so much hope of catching up with league leaders; 2 goals were meaningless.
another team may have defended 2 goals and may have also ended up with another goal to add in their shopping chart; how did we do to sum up our sour afternoon? well, every Gooner who watched yesterday’s match and know exactly our young players had failed to live up our expectations. don’t be offended, there’s no doubt they have talent, skills and motivation but they lack driving force and passion. they have no idea how to execute a simple past, let alone shoot to a goal. we lose our determination as soon as opponents control possession; and if they already possess the ball the game is already on their hands. our ball movement and concentration have dipped in recent matches especially in away games. we are too lazy to run for the ball and choose shy away from inviting passes.
if we want to win games, we need to feed the ball to the right paths which might eventually lead to a win. it’s a simple concept of football but yet it so difficult for the players to grasp the simple idea. do not lose the ball while in dangerous position lads!. what am i talking about? it’s a piece of trash and i think i deserve an award for writing awful post dedicated to horrible match result. in order for us to win the league now is to hope for both MU and Chels slip and lose all of their remaining matches, which i doubt it will happen, and for us to win every single one left there is.
it hurts and pains when i read match reports or blog posts in my timeline. they all discussing one thing: one more trophy-less season. i sure know Sky will jump on their feet and shout to the world we are out finally. we are suck and i will not defend the players this time coz i know it will be a waste of time. i have defended them and let it sly for hundreds of times and yesterday was my final breath of forgiveness. no more cheers for you if you do not support us back. what would all ardent Gooner say to me? you bitch! you don’t deserve to be on our seat. and i will say “well, you bunch of ignorant have you seen how they play lately? if you have, then you won’t be smacking my face with your attitude right now”. we have been supportive since ages ago and i’m certain we will continue to do so until the end of time, but my question is: will they pay our support back by giving consistent performance and start winning games?. our away results are as awful as burnt brownies and if we don’t see through this madness we will soon be 4th rather than 3rd, not that differ in any way but finishing higher than we had done last season sounds better to me.
honestly speaking, we didn’t deserve a win last night nor a draw. we took too much time to get into Wigan’s half and if we indeed commanded up front the ball would go to a different side of town. pathetic but it happened, so keep your foul words to yourself. once again, we end our season with another disappointment and this time do not blame anyone but ourselves. we had the chance but in the end we blew it. Wenger was right, it proves players are still immature and irresponsible.
i will end my emotional blog here by saying “hey you Arsenal players! stop talking rubbish in the summer; walk the talk. i can’t hear anything about “this is our moment" or “this could be our season and need to start win trophies”. prove us your worth or you’ll see nothing but empty stadium. FEEL OUR ANGER

Champs league exit and many more
I don't blame Wenger for his team selection as he has been faced with mounting injury list while pondering on how far should he gamble his key players in the European championship. If you look at our bench, you would see how lightweight our team was; only Eduardo and Eboue who had the potential to go forward while others remained too 'green' to have been chosen as substitutes. Both players were later on came on as substitutes but they failed to turn things around simply because Barca were too good for them to handle.
Since the 1st minute, Arsenal had been too cautious and at times too nervous on ball resulting to many broken passes being played around. Unlike our young side, Barca played like a true defending champions and dominated possession throughout the match. Anyway, it has been more than 4 days and I will try to resume my days as if nothing has happened.
There will be crunch match between North London rivals, Tot and Arsenal this midweek. It'll be an away game and everyone in the camp knows how important the result will be for us. Tot have already without services of Pavy, Lennon and Palacios who is out due to suspension. And as for Arsenal, RVP will most likely start from the bench after months sitting on the sideline due to ligament injury; his presence is long overdue. It may sound funny but I do miss seeing him on the field. Hopefully, his return will bring positive results for us.
See you Thursday Gooners and in the mean time, stay positive and pray for our success.

Champs League Is Now Over and Now Let's Talk About Premier League
Honestly, I am not in the position to give comments on how the boys handled the pressure for 90 minutes since I skipped it, but judging from most of news articles I've read, the boys made a sensational comeback to earn 2 important goals, thus giving us a real chance to catch Barca at home. Sounds delirious right? But matter of fact we can. We are the underdogs, the pressure isn't on us but on the home side.
Being the European champions as they are if we can keep our tempo and possession for the whole 90 minutes, we will go through. The key will be: commitment, discipline and attitude. Without each one of them, we will falter.
Now moving on to premier league shall we?. This Saturday we will greet Wolverhampton in our home and they aren't easy to be pushed away especially when most of our key players are occupying medical room. It is confirmed that Gallas, Cesc and Arshavin will all miss the season. And yes, they aren't young Gunners who have just joined first team but our backbone to win titles. Some newspapers have begun questioning our title chance after we lost our captain and I bet half of them believed we have no hope to be champions, yet again.
I should keep my positive thoughts as high as I can possibly be; the reason is simply because we have to do this for the sake of thousands of Gooners out there. How many years have they waited to see us this close from winning a title? Nearly 5 years if you can calculate it right. The last trophy Arsenal have obtained was back in 2005 and it was legendary FA cup. This should be the perfect year to win premier league trophy coz if it doesn't happen today it won't be in the future. We, in the future, will always remember the day when we nearly had it, but let it slip
